Essence- Metallics

Finalmente, anche l’Oviesse sotto l’ufficio ha rifornito lo stand della Essence con la nuova collezione Metallics, ed io, che li aspettavo letteralmente al varco, non ho saputo resistere ed ho fatto incetta.

Partiamo dagli smalti, la cui particolarità è quella di possedere una ricca percentuale di pagliuzze metalliche, che vibrano sotto la luce (solare e non). Qui sotto vedete come risultano una volta stesi sull’unghia (una sola passata):

We start from nail polishes, whose particularity is to have a large percentage of metallic flakes that vibrate under the light (solar or not). Below you can see as they appear once hung on the nail (one pass):

Steel Me è un bel colore grigio antracite, che nella boccetta risulta molto più scuro. Copper Rulez! è un bel tono di marrone, molto caldo e perfetto per l’autunno. Mi sembra un po’ troppo caldo per essere un vero e proprio bronzo, ma magari qualche esperta di colore mi potrà smentire. Nothing Else Metals è un bel platino. Sembra argento, attenzione, ma sotto la luce naturale offre dei riflessi leggermente dorati. Non avevo mai avuto uno smalto platino. Al massimo, il colore “Oro Bianco” della N.6 (swatch a breve) e il platino della Chrome della China Glaze era un po’ troppo perlato per i miei gusti. Particolare davvero. E tutti e tre i colori sono portabilissimi anche in ufficio. Sono molto scorrevoli, si stendono con facilità e basta una sola passata per coprire anche la lunetta della french (io la porto bianco gesso. In gel. A volte coprirla con una sola passata è impossibile.). Ma la prticolarità di questa collezione è data dagli elementi metallici all’interno della composizione, e c’è anche un magnete speciale che, se posizionato qualche millimetro sopra lo smalto appena steso, attira letteralmente i pigmenti di colore.

Steel Me is a beautiful charcoal gray, which is much darker in the bottle. Copper Rulez! is a nice brown tone, very warm and perfect for fall. It seems a bit too hot to be a real bronze, but maybe some expert color I can deny. Nothing Else Metals is a beautiful Platinum. It seems silver, mind you, but under natural light provides the light golden hues. I had never had a platinum glaze. At best, the color “white gold” of No.6 (swatch coming soon) and the China Glaze Platinum Chrome was a bit too pearl for my taste. Special indeed. And all three colors are portabilissimi in the office. They are very smooth, stretch easily and just one pass to cover also the bezel of the French (I have the white. In gel. Sometimes cover it with a single pass is impossible.). But the most interesting of this collection is given by the metallic elements within the composition, and there is a special magnet that, when placed a few millimeters above the enamel just rolled out, literally draws the color pigments.

And now, lipsticks!

Come per tutti i lipstick della Essence, scordatevi una copertura totale che cancelli il colore di base della vostre labbra. I rossetti Essence assomigliano più a lucidalabbra, quelli vecchio stampo, che regalano un alone di colore senza coprire eccessivamente le labbra. Questi della collezione metallics sono ancora più rarefatti, se possibile.

As with all Essence of lipstick, forget full coverage to delete the base color of your lips. The Essence lipsticks look more like lip gloss, old-fashioned ones, which give a halo of color without covering over his lips. These metallics of the collection are even more ethereal, if possible.

Quello che colora maggiormente è senza dubbio il primo, Metal Battle, che lascia un alone scuro (né nero, né viola, né blu) ma che per tutti i giorni potrebbe essere eccessivo. Steel Me ha un tocco di lilla nella composizione ( a meno che non sia pazza io) e regala alle labbra un effetto cyber, che anche questo va bene in discoteca o per una festa a tema. Il più portabile, anche al mattino, è senz’altro Iron Goddess, visto che avvolge le labbra di una calda tonalità dorata non troppo accesa né sfacciata. The most coloured is certainly the first, Battle Metal, leaving a dark halo (either black or purple, or blue) but that every day might be excessive. Steel Me has a touch of lilac in the composition (unless I’m crazy) and gives the lips a cyber effect, that this is fine for a disco or a theme party. The more portable, even in the morning was undoubtedly Iron Goddess, seeing that wraps the lips of a warm golden hue turned on or not too bold.

Durata:
Gli smalti, senza top coat protettivo, con una buona base sottostante, durano in media tre giorni. Ovviamente, i perlati sono più fragili delle lacche, ma nascondono meglio, a mio avviso, le prime crepe. I rossetti, invece, perdono quasi subito la brillantezza, lasciando, però, un alone colorato molto carino. Non seccano le labbra (miracolo!), né colano.

Duration:
The enamels, without protective top coat, with a good underlying base, lasting on average three days. Of course, the shimmer are more fragile than cremes, but they hide better, in my opinion, the first cracks. The lipsticks, however, lose the shine almost immediately, leaving, however, a very nice colored halo. Do not dry the lips (miracle!), or run off.
