Etienne the car designer II

l'intervista di oggi è particolare, è un vis a vis con un giovane e davvero simpatico 23enne che ha fatto armi e bagagli per seguire il suo sogno tedesco di transportation design.Etienne è di pordenone quindi ci siamo incontrati , seduti al tavolino di un bar e chiacchierato un'oretta della sua vita passata,presente e futura. C'è stato subito un buon feeling,lui aveva voglia di parlare e io di ascoltare..più raccontava e più io 28enne adulta restavo sbalordita dal suo racconto : un ragazzo come tanti che non sapeva bene cosa fare della sua giovanissima vita e grazie ad un incontro fortuito e tanta tenacia è diventato un bravissimo designer. Etienne mi racconta che al liceo non aveva le idee chiare e dopo due anni di liceo scientifico passa all'istituto d'arte di cordenons che gli apre le strade del design. Qui comincia a conoscere tecniche, creazioni, sviluppa un interesse per il design che fino a due anni prima non sospettava di avere. decide che il disegno industriale non è la sua strada, vuole di più, vuole qualcosa d'altro e qui interviene il caso che gli fa conoscere tramite un suo professore, un designer che gli parla della germania e di Pforzheim, un istituto di design specifico nel transportation,nelle autovetture.Dopo la maturità un lavoro intensissimo durato mesi per superare tutte le selezioni e finalmente accedere all'istituto. Non siamo in Italia e questo lo capisci da due elementi fondamentali: primo le rette costano 1200euro all'anno(io di università ne pago 1800) e i semestri si alternano tra teoria,moltisssima pratica e stage con aziende automobilistiche come AUDI(ha fatto qui lo stage del semestre),MERCEDES-BENZ,RENAULT etc.Rimango esterefatta quando mi racconta che ad ogni fine semestre bisogna aver superato gli esami e al massimo hai una seconda chance, rimango allibita quando mi racconta che ad ogni fine semestre c'è una mostra di tuttti i lavori di tutti gli allievi, rimango scioccata quando mi racconta che sono i suoi professori a cercare costanti rapporti con le aziende automobilistiche.In Italia un istituto come lo IED costa 8000euro annui, in generale mettersi in mostra è difficilissimo e sicuramente i professionisti non solo non insegnano ai giovani i trucchi del mestiere ma non li sponsorizzano neanche per paura che gli rubino il lavoro.Etienne mi parla di 200 disegni fatti in una settimana, di tecniche particolari, di creatività e i suoi occhi si illuminano.Mi spiega il progetto per Renault, quello illustrato nel precedente post, e mi sento trasportata dalla sua visione di auto, design,velocità, emozioni che l'andare in auto ti da, emozioni che lui vuole riprodurre e i suoi occhi si illuminano di nuovo.ora vorrei far illuminare i vostri con alcuni dei suoi progetti:

Reanault:

lavoro svolto in collaborazione con la Renault, volto all'ideazione di un'ipotetica nuova berlinette per il 2022, ispirata alla Renault Alpine degli anni 60'-70'.Lo sviluppo del progetto si svolge in tre fasi:la prima riguarda il concept e la ricerca della forma;la seconda la definizione di dettagli e concretizzazione degli sketches, che in seguito, dopo il Mid Term Review (ovvero la metà del semestre), verrano scelti e in base a quelli si andrà costruire il modello.La terza fase riguarda tutto il processo di costruzione del modello. Dovrebbe essere di tre mesi circa, ma il tempo non basta mai e molto spesso si finisce per lavorare giorno e notte.Di seguito alcune immagini dello sviluppo del progetto, e il plastico del prototipo.
