Eurovision, vince la Svezia con 'Heores'. Terza l'Italia con 'Il Volo'

Se l'è aggiudicato la Svezia il 60esimo Eurovision Song Contst. Sul gradino più alto del podio dell'edizione 2015, che si è svolta a Vienna, è salito Måns Zelmerlöw con il suo inno da discoteca 'Heroes', davanti alla Russia. Medaglia di bronzo a 'Il Volo' Questa è la sesta volta nella storia che il Paese scandinavo vince il concorso canoro.
L'ultima vittoria risale a solo tre anni fa, nel 2012 con Loreen, mentre la più lontana è quella del 1974 in cui ad affermarsi fu lo storico gruppo pop degli 'Abba'. Solo l'Irlanda, con sette premi al suo attivo, supera il record della Svezia. "Non potrei essere più felice - ha detto Zelmerlöw - è incredibile, ho sognato l'Eurivision per tutta la vita". 'Heroes' è stata ispirata da un ragazzo che ha aiutato il cantante svedese durante la sua infanzia, quando aveva pochi amici.
A congratularsi su Facebook anche il primo ministro svedese Stefen Löfven che ha parlato di una "interpretazione incredibile": "Ora sei l'eroe della Svezia!". Anche l'ex ministro degli Esteri svedese Carl Bildt si è congratulato con il vincitore via Twitter: "Se lo è meritato. La modestia la riserviamo a un'altra notte, forse, ma ora dobbiamo notare che la Svezia è una superpotenza nella musica!".
La russa Polina Gagarina, arrivata seconda con 'A Million Voices', ha ricevuto 303 punti contro i 365 del vincitore mentre il trio italiano formato da Gianluca Ginoble, Piero Barone e Ignazio Boschetto si è piazzato terzo con 'Grande amore' ottenendo 292 punti.
In questa edizione ha partecipato per la prima volta l'Australia come ospite d'onore. Per quanto riguarda la prossima, in programma per il 14 maggio, si terrà a Stoccolma, sempre che il Paese vincitore scelga la capitale. La vittoria al concorso, che si è tenuto all'Arena Wiener Stadhalle, non porta un premio in denaro. Il vincitore ottiene un trofeo e il suo Paese la possibilità di trasmettere la kermesse in diretta tv.
Nel 2014 ad aggiudicarsi il primo premio della manifestazione è stata la drag queen austriaca Conchita Wurst con la pop ballad 'Rise Like A Phoenix'. Secondo il canale austriaco ORF, che trasmetteva lo show, lo spettacolo è costato circa 25 milioni di euro. Si stima che circa 100 milioni di spettatori abbiano guardato la finale in televisione.
