Exhibition in Arona – Performance by Elena Tagliapietra

Mostra introspettiva alla scoperta dell’inconscio umano attraverso le sue manifestazioni: conoscere i vizi e le virtù per imparare a conoscere se stessi.

Nella splendida cornice del lago Maggiore si è svolta dal 10 al 17 giugno 2012 la mostra ‘I sette peccati capitali, le sette virtu”, curata da Silvia Ceffa e Miriam De Nicolò. La mostra si è svolta ad Arona in uno spazio suggestivo e raffinato : lo ‘Spazio Moderno’.

Sono stata invitata ad esibirmi al vernissage il 10 giugno 2012 per il peccato dell’IRA, propornendo la performance ‘Numbers in motion’ , gà finalista del Premio arte laguna 11.12 e vincitrice del premio speciale Leo Galleries. Il mio interprete d’eccezione è stato anche questa volta il bravissimo Davide Casaroli: a mio parere la body art, senza un corpo con un’anima importante e piena di energia, non è nulla.

I sette peccati capitali: Superbia, Avarizia, Lussuria, Invidia, Gola, Ira e Accidia rappresentano la tentazione e la voglia di trasgredire e ci mettono a dura prova attraverso una lotta continua tra bene e male. Essi racchiudono la debolezza umana.

Le sette virtù: Fede, Speranza, Carità (Amore), Prudenza (Saggezza), Giustizia, Fortezza (Coraggio) e Temperanza (Moderazione) racchiudono la perfezione dell’essere, lo slancio verso il bene e il giusto. Le virtù fanno parte della vita quotidiana in qualsiasi situazione o scelta in cui l’uomo sia chiamato ad agire.

”Con questa tematica si vuole affrontare una visione globale sul tema mettendone in luce la grande attualità.”

La collettiva ha visto la presenza di 80 artisti con opere di pittura, scultura e fotografia a livello nazionale ed internazionale. ”Questa mostra vuole essere un’unione delle arti: l’artista può dare spazio alla fantasia e alla sua creatività utilizzando qualsiasi mezzo per esprimere la propria idea sul tema.”

Sono intervenuti  al vernissage il Sindaco di Arona Alberto Gusmeroli, il presidente della Società di Mutuo Soccorso Alessandro Alganon, il presidente dello spazio espositivo “Spazio Moderno” Giancarlo Fantini e il critico d’arte Bruno Budassi.

Per il supporto sia morale che fisico ringrazio di cuore l’amica fashion stylist Daniela Ventrella, il fotografo Adolfo Valente e lo stesso Sindaco di Arona. Un grazie all’artista ed amico Davide Ferraris, famoso per le sue ‘Cralatte’ e presente qui con una sua opera, per avermi fatto conoscere la curatrice Silvia Ceffa e la sua interessante iniziativa .

Venerdi’ 22 giugno a Milano è previsto un evento a chiusura della mostra, durante la quale ripetero’ la mia performance, presso il locale ’11 rooftop’‘, la terrazza estiva del famoso ‘Eleven”. Durante la serata saranno inoltre esposte una selezione di opere scelte dalla mostra.

Numbers in Motion: “Codifichiamo tutto il possibile. Trasformiamo in numeri la realtà di cui siamo fatti: per comprenderla, cerchiamo di semplificarla, ma questa follia spezza i confini del corpo e della mente. Avvelenato dalla continua rincorsa di un senso logico, l’uomo si ribella, liberando la propria sofferenza in un urlo silenzioso.”

Art exhibition about introspective discovery of the human unconscious through and its manifestations: about the vices and virtues to learn to know themselves.

In the beautiful setting of Lake Maggiore was held from 10th to 17th June 2012, the exhibition ‘The seven deadly sins, the seven virtues’‘ curated by Silvia Ceffa and Miriam De Nicolò. The exhibition was held in Arona in a suggestive and refined location: the ‘Modern space’.
I was invited to perform at the vernissage June 10th, 2012 rappresenting the sin of the Wrath , with the performance ‘Numbers in motion’,  Lagoon Art Prize 11.12 finalist and winner of special prize Leo Galleries. My exceptional interpreter was also this time the talented David Casaroli: in my opinion in the body art, a soul without a body with important and full of energy, it is nothing.

The seven deadly sins: Pride, Avarice, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth are the temptation and the desire to transgress it, put to the test through a constant struggle between good and evil. They contain human weakness.
The seven virtues: Faith, Hope, Charity (Love), Prudence (wisdom), justice, fortitude (courage) and temperance (moderation) contain the perfection of being, the momentum toward the good and righteous. The virtues are part of everyday life in any situation or choice in which man is called to act.

Show introspective discovery of the human unconscious through its manifestations: about the vices and virtues to learn to know themselves.

” With this theme you want to tackle a global view on highlighting the great news.”

The group was attended by 80 artists with them works of painting, sculpture and photography of national and international level. ” This exhibition is a union of the arts: the artist can give space to imagination and creativity using any means to express their ideas on the subject.”

Speakers at the opening:  the Mayor of Arona Gusmeroli Alberto, the president of the Society of Mutual Aid Alganon Alessandro, the chairman of the exhibition “Modern Space” Giancarlo Fantini and the art critic Bruno Budassi.

To support me both moral and physical I sincerely thank my friend Daniela Ventrella fashion stylist, the photographer Adolfo Valente and the Mayor of Arona. Thanks also to the artist and friend Davide Ferraris, famous for its ‘Cralatte’ and present here with one of his works, for introducing me to the curator Silvia Ceffa and hers interesting initiative.

Friday , June 22th in Milan is the closing event of the exhibition, during which I will performe ‘Numbers in motion’ at the local ‘rooftop 11′, the summer terrace of the famous’ Eleven.” During the evening will also be on display a selection of works chosen by the exhibition in Arona.

Numbers in Motion: “We encode all possible. We turn in numbers the realities of which we are made: to understand, we try to simplify it, but this madness breaks the boundaries of the body and mind. Poisoned by the constant pursuit of a logical sense, man rebels, freeing their suffering in a silent scream. “
