Fashion at the V

Yesterday I was supposed to be shooting in Brick Lane but a last minute change of plan (the shoot is pushed back to next week), meant that I had already spent some money on the ticket to London, so I decided to 'pop in' the V&A, as I knew that there were quite a few things going on. The fashion section had been refurbished and opened in May and that was the first thing I went to see , as when I moved to the Uk a year ago it was closed and I never seen it before. The display has a great variety of garments, from the 1750 the 2010, and whether you're into fashion or not it's a great opportunity to see upclose some of the fashion names that made history. The panels with explanations of the fashion periods are quite informative for the general public and if you're part of the fashion pack it's stuff you do know already. Nevertheless I really, really appreciated the quality and the quantity of the garments on show. Here just a selection of my favourites.
Ieri avrei dovuto scattare a Brick Lane ma un cambiamento dell'ultimo minuto ( shooting rimandato alla settimana prossima) mi ha visto spendere un bel po' per ol bilgietto del treno per Londra, quindi ho deciso di 'fare un salto' alla V&A, visto che c'erano un bel po' di cose interessanti da vedere. La sezione riguardante la moda e' stata ristrutturata e riaperta a maggio, ed e' stata la prima cosa che sono andato a vedere poiche' da quando mi sono trasferito in Inghilterra un anno fa e' sempre stata chiusa e non l'avevo mai vista. Ci sono una gran varieta' di capi in mostra, dal 1750 al 2010, e sia come appassionati di moda che non sia ha l'opportunita' di vedere da vicino alcuni dei nomi che hanno fatto la storia della moda. I pannelli esplicativi sono molto informativi per un pubblico di non addetti e se si e' parte del mondo fashion, sono informazioni che si conosco gia'. Comunque, ho veramente aprrezzato la qualita' e la quantita' dei capi in mostra. Ecco una selezione dei miei preferiti.
