My blog’s readers know that one of the main reasons I decided to open a blog, is that I want/need to share my spottings in fashion world.Most of the times it’s about fashion designers, but sometimes it regards other talents of the multi-faceted world of fashion.Illustration, for example.The illustrator I’m taking about in this post, is a young newyorker girl.Her name is Sarah Silverman, but she is better known as Sarah Leora.Sarah is eighteen years old and she is very, very talented.Her paintings are inspired by contemporary pop culture, a little bit visionary and a little bit patchwork, wich is perfectly represented by a modern icon like Lady Gaga.Sarah Leora’s creations, however, have a pure and ethereal touch, given by the magic of watercolor brushes.The artist’s creativity doesn’t end with illustrations, but goes on with design.In fact, she designs her own fashion label, named Sarah Leora Apparel, since she was only seventeen.Take a look on her website http://sarahleora.com/sl///Chi legge il mio blog lo sa, una delle principali ragioni per le quali ho deciso di aprire un mio spazio nel web, è condividere le mie “scoperte” di nuovi talenti emergenti nella moda.Non si tratta sempre e solo di designer, spesso la ricerca di nuove leve riguarda anche altre sfaccettature di questo meraviglioso mondo. L’illustrazione, ad esempio.L’illustratrice della quale vedete gli acquerelli qui sopra, è una giovanissima ragazza newyorchese, recentissima scoperta.Si chiama Sarah Silverman, ma il suo nome da artista è Sarah Leora, ha solo diciotto anni ed un talento davvero invidiabile.I suoi acquerelli, come dice lei stessa, sono ispirati alla cultura pop contemporanea, un po’ visionaria e un po’ patchwork, che trovano perfetta rappresentazione in fenomeni come quello di Lady Gaga.Le sue creazioni, tuttavia, grazie alla delicatezza delle pennellate e alla leggera magia dell’acquerello, hanno un’anima più pura ed eterea.La fantasia creativa della giovane artista di New York, non si ferma all’illustrazione, ma sconfina nel design.A soli diciassette anni ha creato infatti la sua prima linea di moda, della quale potete trovare qualche assaggio sul suo sito web http://sarahleora.com/sl.
