Fashion's Icons

La moda è di per sè fatta di icone, di donne a cui ispirarsi per bellezza e stile. E' vero ce ne sono tante oggi, ma quelle che io adoro sono le "icone" del passato, le donne che hanno inventato la moda e che hanno segnato la storia. La prima, che io adoro, e alla quale mi ispiro è Audrey Hepburn; "Audrey" un nome che evoca una leggenda! "Lei", l'indimenticabile Holly di "Colazione da Tiffany". La sua bellezza si è rivelata essere senza tempo e dovremmo stupirci? Quel fisico da ballerina e quegli occhi da cerbiatta la rendevano irresistibile ad ogni obiettivo.
Un'altra donna che per me può essere considerata un'icona di stile e che ammiro è Norma Jeane Baker, in arte Marilyn Monroe. Bella come il sole, e aggrazziata nonostante le sue curve che la rendevano, a mio parere, una vera donna. Fragile nonostante il gran sorriso che sfoggiava in ogni occasione. Muore misteriosamente all'erà di 36 anni, e credo che con lei se ne sia andato un pezzo di storia della moda.
L'ultima donna che credo meriti di essere menzionata è Coco Chanel! Beh non credo si debbano spendere molte parole. Chanel è un marchio famoso in tutto il mondo, simbolo di moda, eleganza e raffinatezza. Il tailleur Chanel è, secondo me, è il simbolo assoluto dello stile. Coco è una donne che si è fatta da sola e che è stata capace di rivoluzionare il mondo della moda partendo da niente. E' lei la creatrice del "capello corto", il tubino nero, la minigonna e l'intramontabile borsa trapuntata. Sono loro secondo me le donne a cui bisogna ispirarsi, non solo perchè erano sempre impeccabili, ma anche perchè personalizzavano la moda, la rendevano propria. Essere alla moda, a mio parere, non vuol dire seguirla nei minimi particolari, ma vuol dire crearla, personalizzarla; Rendere ogni capo proprio, e far trasparire la propria personalità anche da un semplice accessorio. Mai uniformarsi alla massa per essere una vera icona di stile! :) Oggi ci sono tante donne che io credo possano rappresentare fonte d'ispirazione: Beyoncè, Olivia Palermo, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckam, Leigthon meester, Sara Jessica Parker e tante altre, ma credo che nessuna potrà mai superare Audrey, Marilyn e Coco. Voi che ne dite?
