Forest witch

Ci fu un gran fumo e poi tutte le voci tacquero mentre il fumo incominciava a diradarsi, tutti gli occhi fissavano oltre il fumo, dove c'era la strega. Le fiamme crepitarono alte, la notte diventò chiara come il giorno, le lingue di fuoco si unirono in un'unica vampata che salì nel cielo non ancora buio....si videro i capelli della strega che svanivano nella luce e la sua bocca che si apriva in un grido senza suono.

 There was a lot of smoke and then all the voices were silent while the smoke began to clear, all eyes stared through the smoke, where there was the witch. The flames crackled higher, the night became as clear as day, the tongues of fire mixed into a single flare-up that went-up in the sky still dark .... They saw the witch's hair vanish into the light, and her lips that opened in a soundless scream.
