Gingham!

Molto vezzosa e ironica, è stata vista sulle passerelle dei più grandi marchi, da Bottega Veneta a Altuzarra, la stampa Vichy, o a piccoli quadretti, ed è subito diventata una delle tendenze top della Primavera-Estate 2015. 
Il nome ha origine dall’omonima città francese, nonché sito di produzione (e forse origine), nonostante la sua popolarità inizialmente la ottenne oltremanica, infatti è solo nel ’600, sotto il dominio della regina Elisabetta I, che si diffuse in Inghilterra e poi nell’Estremo Oriente.
Il tessuto Vichy è una delle trame più romantiche che ci sia. I più sofisticati sicuramente lo conosceranno anche sotto un’altra terminologia, gingham, dal dialetto Indonesiano dove inizialmente venne molto apprezzata.
Una trama bicolore che crea quadri bianchi e blu per lo più ma che oggi trova le sue più delicate declinazioni col rosa, verde, lavanda e azzurro.
Con la sua texture fresca e raffinata ricopre abiti, top, pantaloni e accessori, dalla borsa alle calze. La fantasia può variare da un check piccolo a quello maxi dall’effetto “tovaglia”, così come i colori:i preferiti rimangono bianco e blu o nero, ma non mancano declinazioni nel classico bianco e rosso e in tutte le sfumature pastello.
Per quanto riguarda i tagli, la moda strizza l’occhio agli anni tra i 50 ed i 60: dalle gonne a metà lunghezza alle camicette arricciate in vita, passando per le scarpe modello MaryJane e gli spolverini, la stampa vichy ricorda tanto i look di Brigitte Bardot.
Basta abbinarla ad occhialoni intonati, avvolgersi in un foulard leggero di seta sui capelli e catapultarsi subito agli anni ’50. La stampa vichy è tornata: niente di meglio per un look insieme minimal e retrò!

The name came from the homonym town in French, as well as it’s production site (and maybe its hometown), despite initially obtained its popularity overseas, it is only in the '600, under the rule of Queen Elizabeth I, which spread to England and then in the Far East.
The Vichy fabric is one of the most romantic plots there is. Know even in a different terminology, as gingham, from the Indonesian dialect which initially was very appreciated.
A plot created of two-tone blue and white checked, but now finds even in many delicate colors as pink, green, lavender and blue.
With its fresh and refined texture covers dresses, tops, pants and accessories, from the bag to the socks.
The pattern can vary from a small check to the maxi ones, "tablecloth" effect, as well as colors: favorites are white and blue or black, but there are variations in the classic red and white and all pastel shades.
As for the cuts, the fashion gives a nod to the years between 50 and 60: from mid-length skirts with blouses gathered at the waist, through the MaryJane shoes and duster, vichy print looks reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot.
Just pair it with matching goggles, wrap the head in a light silk scarf and you’ll be immediately catapulted to the 50s. Gingham is back: nothing better for a minimal set and retro look.
