Nella giornata in cui si festeggia la Pasqua, domenica 5 aprile 2015, si svolgerà l’attesissimo Giro delle Fiandre (Ronde van Vlaanderen), giunto all’edizione numero 99.
Con partenza da Bruges e arrivo a Oudenaarde, si percorreranno 264 km caratterizzati dai famosi “muri” fiamminghi. Quest’anno sono stati introdotti due muri, Tiegemberg e Berendries, per un totale di 19 salite.
Dopo gli infortuni di Fabian Cancellara e Tom Boonen (vincitori delle ultime tre edizioni), costretti a saltare le Classiche del Nord, non c’è un vero e proprio favorito per la vittoria. Tra i più accreditati segnaliamo comunque Peter Sagan (Tinkoff-Saxo), Bradley Wiggins e Geraint Thomas (Team Sky), Zdenek Stybar e Niki Terpstra (Etixx-Quick-Step), Greg Van Avermaet (BMC Racing Team). Gli atleti italiani più rappresentativi al via saranno Filippo Pozzato (Lampre-Merida), Daniel Oss e Manuel Quinziato (BMC), Matteo Trentin (Etixx-Quick-Step) e Matteo Tosatto (Tinkoff-Saxo).
