Glitter Couture
è una produzione artigianale ideata da Anna che progetta e crea pezzi unici e originali, completamente realizzati a mano.Dalla passione per il costume d'epoca, trae ispirazione dai creatori della moda del passato come Rose Bertin e madame Eloffe, fornitrici della regina Maria Antonietta, dai costumi dei balletti fantastici dell'800 e dalle principesse delle favole, dal mondo dei manga e delle Gothic Lolita giapponesi. Il tutto reinventato, trasformato in una stravagante fiaba dove ogni cosa, ogni personaggio ha una particolarità e storia a sè. Un regno incantato, con accostamenti di materiali, tessuti e colori imprevisti, dal gusto romantico che ha ancora il sapore della creatività e unicità di un tempo. Un mondo "glitterato".

chi è anna?
Bella domanda! Mi definisco una dolce strana creatura quasi ultraterrena(citazione dal film Jane Eyre), romantica e sognatrice ma molto molto determinata. Più che una stilista…una couturier di altri tempi che riesce a rendere attuali stili e personaggi di epoche passate. Ogni mia creazione è completamente realizzata da me, dallo schizzo al cartamodello al capo finito. Ed ora anche gli accessori!
il tuo percorso accademico?
Diciamo che fin da piccola amavo disegnare e scarabocchiare figurini sulle pagine dei quaderni o libri. I regali che preferivo ricevere erano quelle enormi confezioni di colori, ancora ricordo l’emozione davanti ad un foglio bianco, quello spesso da disegno non quello per le stampanti. A 12 anni sapevo già che cosa avrei voluto fare da grande: la stilista. Purtroppo i miei genitori non mi permisero di iscrivermi al liceo artistico e quindi dopo 5 anni ed un diploma in ragioneria finalmente potei frequentare il corso di figurinista di moda presso l’Istituto Alta Moda Cataldo dove imparai anche le prime basi sulla modellistica. Questioni di destino per la seconda volta fui obbligata ad abbandonare il mio sogno ed accettare altre occupazioni non tralasciando di frequentare corsi di taglio e cucito nel tempo libero. Poi la mia determinazione ha preso il sopravvento e ho capito che per essere felice non bisogna fare quello che gli altri vogliono per te ma quello che desidera il tuo cuore. Mi iscrissi all’università alla Sapienza al corso di Laurea in Scienze della Moda e del Costume. Nel frattempo frequentai un corso di alta formazione di “taglio di alta sartoria e costume d’epoca” presso l’Accademia di Costume e Moda. Cominciai a fare stage e lavorare presso sartorie teatrali, laboratori per abiti da sposa e pronto moda. Una volta laureata decisi di esprimere a pieno la mia creatività e così eccomi qui con la mia Glitter Couture! Nata dall’idea di creare T-shirt sartoriali e pezzi unici ha per ora preso invece forma con accessori originali…ma è solo l’inizio!
la passione per il 700 nasce da?
Dal mio amore per la figura di Maria Antonietta, mia icona di stile che ha ispirato anche la mia tesi di Laurea (Maria Antonietta: una fashion victim alla corte di Versailles). Sottolineo la seconda metà del 700, non tanto il rococò quindi più la fase neoclassica, meno decorativa ma più elegante. Tutte le fanciulle lapidavano la propria dote pur di potersi acconciare e vestire come la regina. Maria Antonietta lanciava una nuova moda, un nuovo pouf e tutte la ammiravano. In un’epoca in cui le dame indossavano larghe gonne e panier lei si fece ritrarre con un semplice abito in mussola bianca con una semplice fascia di raso azzurro in vita e cappello di paglia.
la prima creazione e l'ultima?
Con precisione non saprei dire visto che ho iniziato cucendo gonne e abiti per me e le mia amiche. Diciamo che la mia prima mini collezione l’ho creata nel 2005 per una sfilata a cui partecipai. Era composta da tre abiti ispirati al petit noir di Chanel del 1926 ma con atmosfera anni ’60, in jersey nero e raso bianco. Per quanto riguarda gli accessori invece è molto più recente. L’anno scorso vidi una collana a New York e me ne innamorai poi mi chiesi perché non provare a farla da me? Esperimento riuscitissimo! Tanto da continuare ininterrottamente a creare bijoux, mettendo da parte le T-shirts (che arriveranno però a breve, mini dress con drappeggi di pizzo e tulle).
Mmmmmh l’ultima…spero non ci sarà mai!
perchè una donna del XXI sec dovrebbe indossare un accessorio di merletti?
Perché lo vedo benissimo con una semplice t-shirt girocollo e un cardigan bon ton con bottoncini, lasciato aperto. E poi diciamocelo che la raffinatezza e i tessuti di un tempo, il pezzo unico danno l’idea di una certa ricercatezza in più. Bisogna saper scegliere il vero Vintage.

Who is Anna?

Good question! I define myself as a sweet strange creature almost otherworldly (quote from the film Jane Eyre), romantic and dreamy but very, very determined. More than a designer ... a couturier of the past who manages to make the current styles and personalities from the past. Each of my creation is made entirely by me, from sketch to pattern to finished garment. And now the accessories!

your academic career?

Let's say that from a young age I loved drawing and doodling sketches on the pages of books or notebooks. The gifts were preferred to receive those huge packs of colors, I still remember the excitement before a blank sheet of paper, often the drawing is not one for printers. At age 12 I knew what I wanted to grow up: the stylist. Unfortunately, my parents never allowed me to enroll in art school and then after 5 years and a diploma in accountancy at last I could attend the dress designer fashion at the Fashion Institute of High Cataldo where I also learned the basics on modeling. Questions of fate for the second time I was forced to abandon my dream and accept other jobs not forgetting to take courses in cutting and sewing in their free time. Then my determination took over and I realized that to be happy not to do what others want for you but what you want your heart. I joined the course at La Sapienza University of Science Degree in Fashion and Costume. In the meantime, I attended an advanced training course of "cutting and couture costume of the period" at the Academy of Costume and Fashion. I started to work in fashion houses and theatrical stages, workshops for wedding dresses and ready to wear. After graduating I decided to fully express my creativity and so here I am with my Glitter Couture! Born from the idea of creating T-shirt and tailored pieces but has so far taken shape with the original ... but it is only the beginning!

passion for the 700 comes from?

From my love for the figure of Marie Antoinette, my style icon that has inspired my thesis (Marie Antoinette: a fashion victim in the court of Versailles). I stress the second half of the 700, not so much the more rococo then the neoclassical phase, less decorative but more elegant. All the girls were stoning his talent just to be able to styling and dressing like the Queen. Marie Antoinette was launching a new fashion, a new ottoman and all admired her. At a time when ladies wore skirts and large basket she had himself portrayed with a simple white muslin dress with a simple band of blue satin at the waist and a straw hat.

creating the first and last?

I can not say precisely because I started sewing skirts and dresses for me and my friends. Let's say that my first mini collection I created in 2005 for a fashion show I attended. It was composed of three dresses inspired by Chanel petit noir atmosphere of 1926 but with the 60s, in black jersey and white satin. As for accessories instead is much more recent. Last year saw a series in New York and fell in love then I wondered why not try to do it myself? Very successful experiment! Enough to continue without interruption to create jewelry, putting aside the T-shirts (but that will come soon, mini dress with lace and tulle drapes).Mmmmmh last ... I hope there never will be!

why a woman in the XXI century should wear an accessory of lace?

Because I see very well with a simple t-shirt and a cardigan with buttons bon ton, left open. And let's face it that the refinement and tissues of a time, the piece give the idea some more refinement. One must be able to choose the true Vintage.
