Granny check dress

Ho aspettato tanto prima di indossare questo vestito - al quale sono molto legata perchè tramandatomi dalla mia nonna - non avendo mai trovato l'occasione adatta per poterlo fare. 
Infatti, essendo composto di una seta molto pesante è troppo caldo per l'estate e avendo le maniche a sbuffo (uno dei dettagli onnipresenti nei capi del mio guardaroba), sarebbe un vero peccato coprirle, perchè andrebbe perso l'effetto "antico" della linea stessa dell'abito. 
E finalmente ho pensato che fosse perfetto per questa tiepida giornata di sole (nonostante la gente mi guardasse disorientata e col presentimento di trovarsi di fronte ad un vecchio dipinto XD).
I suoi colori sono ancora brillanti, mentre la seta inizia ad avvertire il passare del tempo. Facendo i calcoli infatti, dovrebbe avere poco meno di 100 anni. Cosa ne dite? Se li porta bene?
I waited so long to wear this dress - which I'm closely linked because it  handed on from my grandmother - having never found the right opportunity to do so.
In fact, being made of a very heavy silk is too hot for summer and having puffy sleeves (one of my wardrobe leaders details), cover them would be really a shame, because the "ancient" effect and the dress line would be lost.
And finally I thought it was perfect for this warm sunny day (even though people look at me bewildered and with the presentiment of being in front of an old painting XD).
Its colors are still bright, while silk begins to feel the passage of time. 
Doing the math fact, it should have a little less than 100 years. What do you think? It looks younger than his real age. Isn't it?
