Halloween decorations

Si dice che la notte di Halloween, tra il 31 Ottobre ed il primo Novembre, sia il momento in cui il confine tra il mondo dei vivi e quello dei morti è così sottile da poter essere oltrepassato. È una tradizione celtica, antichissima, molto sentita nei paesi anglosassoni, meno in Italia, benché negli ultimi anni i bambini abbiano cominciato ad indossare i costumi di Halloween e si organizzino feste a tema anche tra adulti. Se anche voi fate parte di quest'ultima categoria ormai starete alle prese con zucche e decorazioni, ma il rischio di ritrovarvi la casa disseminata di oggetti cheap e chiassosi sparsi ovunque anzichè immersi nella spettrale atmosfera della notte delle streghe e degli spiriti, è dietro l'angolo.Vale allora la pena realizzare da sole delle semplici decorazioni di Halloween, ma di grande effetto! Iniziamo con la più classica, Jack O‘Lantern, la zucca. Di cosa abbiamo bisogno? Di una grossa zucca, un pennarello, una candela o un lumino, un coltello ed uno scavino. Con il pennarello si disegnano gli occhi, il naso, la bocca, poi con un coltello si rimuove la parte superiore, quindi si utilizza lo scavino per svuotare l’interno della zucca. A questo punto con il coltello si incidono i tratti del viso. Ora non rimane che accendere un lumino, metterlo nella bocca di Jack O’Lantern ed il gioco è fatto.
Per rendere l’atmosfera più intensa, si possono utilizzare delle luci di Natale (ma solo quelle bianche), che potrete applicare sia all’interno che all’esterno intorno alle finestre e sui muri per ottenere delle ombre spettrali sulle pareti e piazzare ragnatele finte agli angoli delle superfici e dei mobili.
Volete rendere l'atmosfera davvero spettacolare? Create diverse zucche da piazzare strategicamente, con altre figure intagliate, magari dei teschi e dei pipistrelli. Potete stampare delle sagome da ritagliare ed attaccare al sulla zucca per seguirne i contorni ed ottenere risultati ancora più precisi.. Naturalmente l'illuminazione dovrà essere molto soft, probabilmente non sarà il massimo per vederci bene, ma per una volta vale la pena immergersi in un’atmosfera spettrale e godersi una serata particolare con gli amici, magari con una colonna sonora da film dell’orrore! ;)

If you belong to the latter category now you are probably struggling with pumpkins and decorations, but the risk to find the house littered with cheap and trash stuff scattered everywhere, instead immersed in the spooky atmosphere of the night of witches and spirits , is behind the corner .So let's talk on how to realize simple Halloween decorations, but very effective!
Let's start with the most classic one, Jack O'Lantern , the pumpkin. What do you need ? A large pumpkin, a pen, a candle, a knife and a melon baller . With the pen , you can draw the eyes, nose, mouth , then with a knife removes the top , then use the digging to clear the inside of the pumpkin. At this point with the knife you can carve facial features . Now all that remains is to put a candle inside the mouth of Jack O'Lantern and you're done .
To make the atmosphere more intense , you can use Christmas lights (but only the white ones) to apply both inside and outside around the windows and on the walls to get the ghostly shadows on the walls, and placing fake cobwebs the corners of surfaces and furniture .
Do you want to make the atmosphere really spectacular? Create different pumpkins to place strategically, with many spooky carved figures, maybe skulls and bats . You can print the shapes to cut out and stick to the pumpkin to follow the contours and obtain more precise results ..
Of course, the lighting should be soft, probably will not be the best for seeing well , but for once it's worth immerse yourself in a spooky atmosphere and enjoy a special evening with friends, maybe with a soundtrack from horror movies ! ;)
