L’evento ospita 30 grandi fotografie dell’artista Larrain , (presentato in un mio articolo precedente), raffiguranti una New York più sfrenatamente colorata, popolata da abitanti spesso scandalosi , uno stile che in voga durante i primi rivoluzionari anni 70.Lo studio di SoHo , dell’artista, ormai leggendario, è diventato un rifugio affascinante i per tutti coloro che stavano esplorando la loro identità sessuale e volevano reinventare e rivoluzionare la vita notturna della città.July 17, 2012 - NYC - Mr. Patrick Duffy art director of THE OUT Hotel in NYC, in collaboration with Steven Kasher Gallery, presented at the innovative hotel New Yorker, the show "Idols" by Gilles Larrain :The event features 30 large photographs of the artist Larrain , (was be presented in my previous article), depicting a New York's most wildly colorful, populated by inhabitants often scandalous, a style in vogue during the early revolutionary years 70.The study of SoHo, the artist, now legendary, has become a haven for misfits fascinating all who were exploring their sexual identity and wanted to reinvent and revolutionize the city's nightlife.
Attraverso la visione di Larrain e amicizia con i suoi modelli, le sue fotografie lussureggianti riuscivano e riescono a catturare l'anima e l'emozione sotto la superficie del glamour del mondo Queer, mostrando la gioia e l’ eccitazione sfrenata, ma anche la disperazione e la vulnerabilità in quel periodo rivoluzionario.Through Larrain’s vision and friendship with his models, the lush photographs capture the soul and emotion beneath the surface of the Halloween glamour of the transvestite world. Larrain probed beneath the glitter and posturing to expose joy and unbridled excitement, but also the desperation and vulnerability during that revolutionary time.
