Intro*

*For many people art is an abstract concept, for some it’s a passion and for a few a job.

Most of the people think being an artist means having a lot of free time, partying every night wearing a french hat, living out of the world and occasionally smearing something that will automatically become a piece of ‘art that all dealers would sell to the highest bidder.

Unfortunately it’s not the way it goes, the successful artist is like a superstar with managerial skills and his or her artistic value is proportional to his/her bank account.

In short, having a lot of imagination and technical skills is not enough. You must know how to sell yourself as it happens in any professional field, but with very little chance of success because, you know, there are only a few places.

Nevertheless, art is something we believe in and we want to support it through the murky waters of the network.

*Per molti l’arte è un concetto astratto, per altri una passione e per pochi un lavoro.

La maggior parte della gente però non ritiene che fare l’artista sia un lavoro, pensa che significhi avere tanto tempo libero possibilmente facendo party ogni sera con un basco francese in testa, vivere fuori dal mondo e ogni tanto imbrattare qualcosa  che automaticamente diventerà un opera d’arte che tutti i galleristi vorrebbero vendere al miglior offerente.

Purtroppo non è così, l’artista di successo è una vera superstar con doti manageriali il cui valore artistico è direttamente proporzionale al conto in banca.

Insomma, avere tanta fantasia e capacità tecniche non basta, bisogna anche sapersi vendere come in un qualsiasi campo professionale ma con poche chance di successo perché si sà, i posti sono pochi.

Nonostante ciò l’arte rimane qualcosa in cui credere e noi vogliamo sostenerla attraverso le acque torbide della rete… e non solo.
