John Galliano: licenziato da Christian Dior

Il mondo della moda, in questi giorni dalle passerelle si è per un attimo spostato sullo stilista piùpazzo degl'ultimi dieci anni, miss John Galliano, guida artistica e direttore creativo della maison Christian Dior da ormai quindici anni. Lo stilista britannico, colpevole di aver aggredito una coppia, qualche giorno fa in un bar di Parigi, con insulti pesantemente antisemiti e razzisti (video) è stato inizialmente sospeso dalla maison, fino alla fine dell'inchiesta da parte della polizia.
Ad oggi, la conferma da parte di casa Dior e da parte dell'amministratore delegato Sidney Toledano, dell'avvio del licenziamente nei confronti dello stilista "per il carattere particolarmente odioso del comportamento e delle parole tenute da John Galliano''; a darne l'uffialità è stato il New York Times. A confermarLa notizia è arrivata proprio oggi, primo giorno di fashion week parigina e proprio venerdì 4 Marzo erano previsti in passerella gli abiti di John, ma non sappiamo ancora cosa accadrà.
Di certo ci sono solo voci di corridoio che prevedono come nuovo sostituto Riccardo Tisci, attualmente stilista per Givenchy.
Franca Sozzani, direttrice di Vogue Italia difende Galliano:
“E’ stato detto e scritto molto negli ultimi giorni sull’episodio di John Galliano accusato di commenti razzisti ad una coppia in un bar a Parigi. Io ripeterò quello che ho detto in un’intervista al Telegraph il 25 febbraio: Io sono contro e condanno ogni forma di razzismo ed ogni comportamento che mostra mancanza di rispetto verso tutte le religioni.
Ma gradirei dire che io sono al momento disgustata da queste persone che vedendo John Galliano in quello stato (ubriaco) hanno approfittato della situazione sul suo nome e la sua notorietà. È ovvio che la situazione non è autentica, nel senso che se stai veramente combattendo con qualcuno, non hai tempo per prendere il cellulare, accendere l’applicazione video, ridacchiare e divertirti su quello che sta dicendo.
Sfruttare qualcuno noto per avere il tuo momento di fama è uno dei gesti più disonorevoli e sleali. Tutte le persone famose sono vittime di attacchi o insulti ed è difficile difenderli quando, come in questo caso, le notizie fann il giro del mondo. Questi ragazzi che hanno incitato John Galliano avrebbero fatto così velocemente un video o chiamato la polizia se lui non fosse stato famoso??? Io credo di no. Mentre io condanno le parole di John, io penso sono state dette in un momento che lui non era lucido. Io sono spaventata da come rapidamente certa gente cerca di ottenere fama e soldi distruggendo l’immagine di un genio”.
