Amo quando la moda si fonde con la tradizione. Il kimono ( letteralmente cosa da indossare, abito) è un indumento tradizionale giapponese divenuto il costume nazionale giapponese. In realtà quello che vedete indossato da Elena in queste foto non è un kimono, capo unisex caratterizzato dalla lunghezza alle caviglie, ma un haori. Realizzato con lo stesso tessuto e con tecniche analoghe al più noto kimono, l'haori è un leggero soprabito dalle lunghe maniche che viene di solito indossato sopra al kimono. Nato come capo squisitamente maschile, dall'epoca Edo si è diffuso anche tra le donne. Ultimamente mi è capitato spesso di notare splendidi esempi di kimono o haori portati con naturalezza da donne eccentriche e non, e mi sono scoperta a sognarne uno, in seta chiara, vintage, dipinto a piccoli fiori delicati....esisterà? Io mi porto avanti e inizio a segnarlo sulla lettera per Babbo Natale...
