Come vi avevo preannunciato su twitter ho letto il secondo libro di Susan Vreeland, una scrittrice che mi aveva colpito molto l'anno scorso con "Una ragazza da Tiffany" (lo trovate in questo post).Parla della storia di Artemisia Gentileschi, una pittrice vissuta nel 1600, tra i problemi dell'essere una donna di successo e talento di quel tempo, si snodano vicende appassionanti (come l'amicizia con Galileo) e richiami all'arte italiana che troppo spesso sottovalutiamo.Una donna che infranse tutte le regole dei suoi tempi e riuscì a difendere la propria visione dell'arte e dei sentimenti.Susan Vreeland si riconferma ai miei occhi come una grande scrittrice, capace di far sentire veramente ai lettori i sentimenti dei personaggi. Quello che amo di più è che attraverso i suoi romanzi ci racconta sempre un pezzo di storia reale.Continuerò la serie con "La ragazza in blu".Potete trovare "La passione di Artemisia" su Amazon al miglior prezzo in commercio in versione cartacea e Kindle.

As I announced on twitter I read the second book by Susan Vreeland "The passion of Artemisia, a writer I was very impressed last year with " A girl to Tiffany" (see post).
Tells the story of Artemisia Gentileschi, a painter living in 1600, including the problems of being a talent and successful woman of that time, exciting events unfold (like friendship with Galileo), and references to Italian art that too often we underestimate.A woman who broke all the rules of his time and managed to defend their vision of art and feelings.
Susan Vreeland is reconfirmed to me today as a great writer, able to let readers in the feelings of the characters. What I love the most is that through the novel tells us always a piece of our real history ...
