London districts

Eccomi di nuovo, riemersa dalle migliaia di foto che abbiamo scattato in inghilterra, la maggior parte delle quali a Londra.
La caratteristica più evidente di questa città è la sua incredibile varietà: ogni quartiere ha la sua caratteristica, ed è sorprendente vedere come realtà agli antipodi riescano a convivere senza problemi a pochi isolati di distanza.
Oltretutto è una città veramente cosmopolita nella quale si trovano elementi di diverse culture tutti mescolati insieme, adattati di volta in volta alle caratteristiche del quartiere.
Ma basta chiacchiere, e via con le foto! :)

The most striking feature of this city is its incredible variety: each district has its own characteristics, and it is amazing to see how very different realities manage to live together without problems a few blocks away
More it is a truly cosmopolitan city in which there are elements of different cultures all mixed together, adapted from time to time to the characteristics of the neighborhood

Iniziamo con il quertiere più turistico: WESTMINSTER
Lì si trovano il Parlamento, Westminster Abbey, la sede della guardia a cavallo, ed il London Eye, e da lì si arriva facilmente sia a Buckingham Palace che a Trafalgar Square dove si trova la National Gallery (di cui vi parlerò più avanti).
Let's start with the most tourist district: WESTMINSTER
There are the Parliament, Westminster Abbey, The Horse Guard, and the London Eye, and from there you can easily reach both Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square where you can find the National Gallery (which I'll discuss later)

 Notata l'aria trionfante? Ho scalato una parete di marmo liscia di 2 metri per raggiungere il leone, ero molto fiera di me! :)
Ora passiamo a SOHO, il quartiere più divertente!E' la zona dello shopping e del quartiere cinese, carinissimo anche per passarci la sera!
Now: SOHO, the more fun district!It's the most popular shopping area and there is the Chinese quarter, cute even to spend the night!

IL QUARTIERE CINESE

NOTTHING HILL, un quartiere delizioso, il sabato mattina c'è il mercatino di Portobello, pieno di bancarelle che vendono oggetti di tutti i tipi ma tipicamente inglesi!Nonostante sia affolatissimo di sabato mattina, rimane comunque tranquillo e piacevole, nessuno grida o spintona e la gente è disponibilissima a fare quattro chiacchiere con chi capita.
Notthing HILL, a delightful Parisian neighborhood, on Saturday morning there's Portobello Market, filled with stalls selling all kinds of stuff but typically English!




















Un'altro di quartieri che mi sono piaciuti di più: COVENT GARDEN: allegro, grazioso e trqnquillo con un bel mercato coperto con bancarelle, ristorantini e negozietti deliziosi!
 Another district I liked a lot: COVENT GARDEN: cheerful, charming and quiet with a covered market with stalls, restaurants and lovely shops!

IL TEATRO DELL'OPERA

BANK  e CITY OF LONDON, sono i quartieri più moderni, pieni di grattacieli e strutture avveniristiche, anche se proprio in mezzi si trovano il London Bridge e la torre di Londra!  
BANK and CITY OF LONDON, are more modern, full of skyscrapers and futuristic buildings, although at the center there are the London Bridge and the Tower of London!











Ora passiamo a CHELSEA, il quartiere più bello! E' pieno di case favolose e di negozi di lusso, tra cui Harrod's girano un sacco di Porsche e Mercedes, anche se pure quelle sono stravaganti: nonostante il lusso l'eleganza non è molto contemplata...
Now let's talk about Chelsea, the most beautiful district! It 'full of fabulous houses and luxury stores, including Harrod's, run a lot of Porsche and Mercedes, although even those are extravagant: despite the luxurious elegance is not very used ...

Una Mercedes ricoperta di strass ed una Ferrari dorata: quando lusso e buon gusto non si incontrano

Mamma ha insistito tanto per fermarci a prendere un tè: c'era talmente tata roba che non abbiamo cenato!

Infine CAMDEN, il quartiere più originale e stravagante, tipo una via Sannio (per chi è di Roma) ma molto più figa! Si trovano cose incredibili, ma la qualità è abbastanza bassa.Ci sono anche un sacco di chioschetti che vendono street food, ma non ci sono sembrati così invitanti, per fortuna a due passi da lì abbiamo trovato Little Venice, una zona tranquilla e pulita dove si trovano localini carini affacciati sul canale!

The shops are full of amazing things, but the quality is often quitelowThere are also lots of stalls selling street food, but there seemed not so inviting, fortunately a few steps from there we found Little Venice, a quiet and clean place where there are nice cafes overlooking the canal!
