
(ENG) Compared to the previous album, the music of Low is even more minimalist: JohnNichols was replaced on bass by Zak Sally, who is confined to very few notes attending the Sparhawk's guitar; Sparhawk puts aside "solos"(if you can callthem so!) that characterized songs like Down in favor of reverbered and essential chords. The songs tend to immobility (such as Turn or Shame), nevertheless remain incredibly hypnotic. The counterpoint vocals of Mimi Parker evolve and, more often than not, become the protagonists of the album (the wonderful Violence is an example). It's surely the saddest work of Low.4/5
