Low - Secret name (1999)

(ITA) Secret name è l'album più rappresentativo dei Low. C'è un po' di tutto: ballate pop (Immune), nenie elettroniche (I remember), puro slowcore (Weight of water) e drone-music ipnotica (Don't Understand). Tutta questa varietà va, ovviamente, a discapito dell'omogeneità dell'opera, cui sembra manchi un'idea di fondo. Ciononostante, Secret Name annovera al suo interno alcune delle più belle canzoni del gruppo (Starfire, Two-step).

There is a bit of everything: pop ballads (Immune), electronic dirges (I remember),pure slowcore (Weight of water) and hypnotic drone-music (Don't Understand). All this variety, of course, penalizes the homogeneity of the opera, which seems to lack a basic idea.
