markets are better - part 1

Eccoci giunti alla serie di post succulenti: quelli dedicato aimercatini londinesi! (una pre-view c'era già stata... ricordate??)
Sono infatti una vera attrazione – finalmente non solo per turisti!
Prima del weekend con Giacomo e amici, non avevo mai girato davvero i mercatini di Londra. Nel 2009 Sara aveva portato Ilaria e me a Cadmen Town,zona tipica e più inflazionata insieme a PortoBello. Io l’avevo trovatoaffascinante e stranissima, ma Tommaso mi ha detto che un tempo lo era molto dipiù: ora l’atmosfera è stata molto esasperata – e quindi contaminata – dalturismo.In ogni caso l’effetto è piacevole, e la zona è molto carina. Inoltreci sono dei banchetti interessanti. In particolare ho comprato un ciondolo conun orologio da taschino (oggi ce l’hanno tutti, ma all’epoca era abbastanzaoriginale) e un maialino di porcellana (novità: faccio collezione diporcellini!)(magari un giorno caricherò delle foto :) ) multicolour.

Here we come to the most succulent series of posts: those dedicated to the London's markets!(There had already been a preview... can you remember it?)
They are in fact a real attraction - at last not only for tourists!
Before the weekend with Giacomo and friends, I had never really shot the markets of London. In 2009, Sara had brought Ilaria and me to Cadmen Town,  the most inflated and typical area in addiction to Portobello. I had found it fascinating and strange, but Tommaso told me that times ago it was more: now the atmosphere is very exasperated - and then contaminated - by tourism.Anyway the outcome is pleasant, and the area is very nice. In addiction, there are interesting stands. In particular, I bought a pendant with a pocket watch (everyone has one now, but at that time it was quite original) and a multicolour porcelain pig (news: I do collection of pigs!)(maybe a day I'll upload some pictures).

A Greenwich siamo state anche al mercato - ovviamente - siccome la zia di Ilaria di mestiere crea gioielli che vende - appunto - in queste fiere, mercati e occasioni. Crea anche su ordinazione. Le sue creazioni sono stupende e realizzate con materiali di pregio, nonostante i prezzi accessibili. Ha anche scritto un libro per imparare, se qualcuna di voi si diletta a auto-crearsi bijoux (un tempo io mi dilettavo :) ).
In Greenwich we have gone to the market - of course - as Ilaria's aunt creates jewelry for job: she sell them in these fairs. She can create jewels made-to-order too. Her creations are beautiful and built with quality materials, despite the affordable prices. She has also written a book to let people learn to make them. If any of you love this hobby I suggest it (once upon a time I made jewelry by myself :) ).

Sempre a Greenwich ho trovato una bancarella stupenda che vende timbri. Sì avete capito, quelli di legno e metallo, che si imprimono nell'inchiostro. Io li adoro. Mi sono comprata in quell'occasione questa "C" da usare come ex libris. Vi piace? Beh, presto scoprirete il resto di quella che è diventata una storia .... :)In Greenwich I found also a stand selling beautiful stamps. Yes you understood, those stamps made of wood and metal, which are printed in ink. I love them. I bought at that time this "C" to use as bookplates. Do you like it? Well, soon you will discover the rest of what has become a story .... :)






Per oggi vi basti: presto parlerò di tutti i mercatini che abbiamo visitato sotto la guida di Tommaso. Non perdeteveli, la Londra dei mercatini è quella che in assoluto mi ha fatto sentire maggiormente lo spirito della città.Sono per me giorni molto intensi - sto organizzando un evento musicale con l'università - siate clementi! Cerco comunque di caricare il più possibile!!Intanto vi suggerisco di seguirmi su bloglovin' - per chi non lo conoscesse è il miglior modo per seguire un blog!! se - se non lo avete già fatto - su facebook o twitter!!Voi non avete mai fatto acquisti clamorosi ai mercatini? tipo qualche piccolo oggetto che però ritenete tanto prezioso? A me trovare qualcosa ad una bancarella, dà sempre una piacevole sensazione di vittoria. E ho sempre l'impressione che l'acquisto ai mercatini garantista insieme risparmio ed esclusività. Per non parlare del rapporto con il venditore - una dimensione spesso persa nelle città: Voi cosa ne pensate?Presto farò un resoconto del primo mese del blog, riguardo le visite i commenti ecc ecc. In generale sono molto soddisfatta, quindi grazie a tutti!!A presto, un sorriso,C.
