MFW Day 4 || Ermanno Scervino S/S 2014 fashion show, Tod's S/S 2014 presentation

Buon weekend a tutti!Dopo la sfilata di Stella Jean, il mio quarto giorno di MFW è proseguito con la sfilata di Ermanno Scervino.Scervino è ormai un appuntamento di quelli che attendo con maggiore trepidazione e anche questa collezione mi ha emozionata, stupita e incantata.

Hi guys, have a nice weekend!After Stella Jean fashion show, I attended the Ermanno Scervino's one.Scervino collections always make me feel very well and even this collection enchated, surprised and thrilled me.
Assistere alla sfilata dalla seconda fila, con le modelle a portata di click è stato emozionante. La nuova collezione P/E 2014 di Ermanno Scervino presenta un daywear a metà tra sport e sartorialità. Lo stilista fiorentino ha giocato sui contrasti tra materiali e colori ed ecco che il canvas (uno dei tessuti sportivi per eccellenza) viene lavorato couture ed accostato a satin, mussola, pizzo e cascate di cristalli swarovski.Lino e denim sono lavorati double e accostati a duchesse e raso.La palette gioca su colori prevalentemente naturali, come khaki, bianco, giallo, nero, rosa pesca accostati a tocchi di azzurro e verde.Le gonne e i mini dress sono rinnovati da pieghe origami; i lunghi abiti impreziositi da ricami di fiori multicolor e plissé; giacche e caban sono caratterizzati da revers decorati con pietre e cristalli.Scervino ha innalzato il glamour ad un livello superiore, rendendolo al contempo incredibilmente contemporaneo e di una vestibilità easy chic senza paragoni.
Attending the fashion show from the second row was an incredible experience. New Ermanno Scervino S/S 2014 collection is characterized by a daywear between sport and tailoring. The florentine fashion designer played with contrasts between fabrics and shades; so canvas (one of most "sportive" textiles) has a couture manifacture and it's matched with satin, muslin, lace and Swarovski crystals.Linen and denim are processed and matched with double duchesse and satin.The palette of colors includes predominantly natural shades, such as khaki, white, yellow, black and peach combined with touches of blue and green.Skirts and mini dresses are renewed by origami folds, long dresses are embellished with multicolor flower embroidery and pleated; jackets and coats are characterized by revers decorated with stones and crystals.Scervino raised the glamour to a higher level and making it incredibly contemporary at the same time and characterized by an easy chic fitting. Nel pomeriggio mi sono recata al PAC - Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea per ammirare da vicino la nuova collezione P/E 2014 di Tod's, che aveva sfilato in passerella il giorno precedente.Devo ammetterlo: una presentazione non avrà mai il fascino di una sfilata (specie se è la prima per un brand), ma poter vedere, toccare, annusare la collezione a pochi cm di distanza è un'esperienza multisensoriale che ti fa apprezzare maggiormente sartorialità, artigianalità e cura del dettaglio. E poi chi ama Tod's come me mi capirà al volo.Nella nuova collezione troviamo ampie gonne a corolla, chemisier, giacche in pelle e suede, dettagli e lavorazioni al laser; e ancora frange su borse e calzature, in un gioco che mixa gusto contemporaneo e allure rètro.La palette, caratterizzata perlopiù da bianchi, rosa cipria e azzurri tenui, è resa accattivante anche da un largo uso di tonalità burgundy, per le quali lancio tuttora urletti di gioia.
In the afternoon I went to PAC - Pavilion of Contemporary Art to admire closely the new Tod's S/S 2014 collection, which did its fashion show the day before.

Honestly, a presentation will never have the charm of a fashion show (especially if it's the first one for a brand), but being able to see, touch, smell the collection a few inches far from is a multisensory experience that makes you better appreciate tailoring, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Moreover, for those who love Tod's like me, well they'll understand me what I mean.
In the new collection we find large flared skirts, chemisiers, leather jackets and suede details, laser manifactures; then fringes on bags and shoes, in a mixture that combines contemporary style and a rètro allure.
