MONT SAINT MICHEL BY NIGHT (1° TAPPA TOUR NORMANDIA/BRETAGNA)

Sono super eccitata di poter condividere con voi questo tour!! La prima tappa è il meraviglioso santuario Mont Saint-Michel, situato nella Bassa Normandia su un isolotto nell'omonimo comune, patrimonio UNESCO dal 1979.

⇒ Mont Saint-Michel ⇐ Dedicata all' Arcangelo Michele, l'abbazia benedettina fu edificata a partire dal X secolo e presenta diversi stili. Il santuario è circondato all'esterno da un piccolo borgo, pieno di ristoranti e negozietti. A salire ci si addentra all'interno dell'abbazia, possente e davvero bellissima.

⇒ Visitare ⇐ L'abbazzia è aperta tutto l'anno (eccetto il 25 dicembre, il 1 gennaio e il 1 maggio) fino alle 19.00, mentre in estate riapre alle 20.00 e resta aperta fino a mezzanotte per le visite serali, che vi stra consiglio: colori, luci e suoni si intrecciano in un percorso mistico, dal sapore tetro e suggestivo. Una meraviglia da non perdere! Sotto troverete le foto e il video (se vi piace mettete like e condividete ^_^).

⇒ Come arrivare, mangiare e alloggiare⇐ Prima si poteva parcheggiare l'auto nel piazzale all'entrata del borgo, ma da qualche anno, per l'alta marea, è vietato. Ci sono però parcheggi appositi da cui partono le navette (l'ultima è all'una di notte). Se invece preferite potete alloggiare in hotel all'interno del borgo, occhio però ai prezzi! Per mangiare invece, è pieno di locali, ma la cucina chiude presto (21.30/22.00 circa), quindi se visitate di sera, mangiare prima.

⇒ LO SAPEVI CHE...⇐ Esistono una serie di luoghi dedicati all'Arcangelo Michele che si trovano in perfetta linea d'aria, formando la cosiddetta Leyline di San Michele. Tra questi, oltre a Mont Saint-Michel, anche la Sacra di San Michele, in Piemonte (a due passi da casa mia).

I'm so excited to share with you this joutney!! The first step is the wonderful Mont Saint-Michel sanctuary, placed in the Lower Normandy in a little island, declared UNESCO world heritage from 1979.

⇒ Mont Saint-Michel ⇐ It's dedicated to the Archangel Michael, built from X century. Around the abbey there is a small village with some restaurants and shops. It's very beautiful.

⇒ Visiting ⇐ The abbey is opened all year (except on Dec 25th, Jan 1st and May 1st) till 7PM. In Summer it reopens at 8PM till midnight for night visiting, which I suggest you: colors, lights and sounds meet each other to create an evocative atmosphere. Terrific!

⇒ How to arrive, eating and staying ⇐ It's a while that parking is forbidden in front of the village, due to high water, but there are some parking areas with special shuttles (the last one is at 1AM). There are also some hotels in the village, but they could be a bit expensive. If you want to eat, there are a lot of restaurants too, but the kitchens close very early (about 9.30/10PM), so pay attention with that.

⇒ DID YOU KNOW? ⇐ There is a group of places dedicated to the Archangel Michael placed as the crow flies and called the Saint Michael Line. Among these, there's, of course, the Mont Saint-Michel and also the Sacra di San Michele in Piedmont, Italy (near my place).
