Nails | Orange

Il sole splende, fa un caldo assurdo, quindi…è il momento di sfoggiare un bello smalto fluo! La mia ultima manicure era abbastanza semplice, dai colori tenui e forse non esattamente estiva, ma questa è perfetta per la stagione. Ho provato l’ultimo arrivato nella mia collezione di smalti: il Ceramic Effect #49 di Layla. È un bel color pesca, brillante e molto acceso, dal finish cremoso, senza shimmer o sbarluccichi vari. Purtroppo l’applicazione mi ha un po’ delusa. La prima passata, seppur pigmentata, era un po’ a strisce, non perfetta, e alla fine mi ci sono volute ben 3 passate per ottenere l’effetto che vedete in foto. Già, un po’ troppe. Penso che il problema sia l’applicatore; lo trovo troppo lungo, si accumula troppo prodotto alla base del pennello, bisogna cercare di togliere l’eccesso e si finisce per fare un pasticcio. L’aspetto positivo è che asciuga molto in fretta, quindi anche se ho dovuto mettere più strati di prodotto non ho aspettato tanto. A parte questo, il colore mi piace molto, è bello acceso e perfetto per i mesi estivi. Non contenta, ho poi aggiunto qualche pois colorato sull’anulare e sul mignolo; ho utilizzato un bel rosa fluo di Sephora e un color oro di Gosh. L’effetto non è male, anche se non perfetto. 
 ♥♥♥ The sun is shining today, so…YAY for bright nails! My last NOTD post was pretty subtle and maybe not too summer-y, but this one’s definitely more on the fun side. I have tried my latest addition: Layla Ceramic Effect #49. That’s a nice bright peach with a creamy finish and no shimmer at all. Unfortunately, application was not so easy as I thought; the first coat went on so stricky although quite opaque, so I had to add other 2 coats to obtain the final result you see in the picture. I think the problem is the brush applicator; I find the handle is too long and picks up too much product, so you end up having to swipe it away and it ends up being a mess. At least, it dries pretty quickly. A part from that, I like the colour, it’s very vibrant and perfect for this season. I then added some polka dots on the ring finger and the pinky; I used a neon pink from Sephora and a gold shade from Gosh. It turned out pretty nice although not perfect :) xo Em.
