Nice summer

Quando ero piccola tutti gli anni alla chiusura delle scuole passavo una settimana con la mia famiglia a Nizza; questo è durato fino più o meno alla fine del liceo, quando io e mio fratello abbiamo cominciato a preferire rimanere a casa per le prime uscite al mare con gli amici che ancora non erano partiti ...
Comunque mi è rimasto un bellissimo ricordo di quelle vacanze, soprattutto per l'atmosfera che si viveva in Costa Azzurra: era molto diversa da quella delle località marittime italiane (anche se devo ammettere che il mare non era niente di speciale): semplice e sofisticata, anche un pò eccentrica, e soprattutto estremamente libera.
Una delle cose che mi colpiva di più era il fatto che lì vedevo la gente indossare completi in stile marinaro o a quadretti Vichy, anche piuttosto esagerati, come se nulla fosse (per non parlare del topless, sembrava la cosa più normale del mondo...)!
Inutile dire che mi sono subito innamorata di quello stile e in questo periodo dell'anno inevitabilmente righe e quadretti pastello tornano a far parte dei miei look quotidiani: potevo non dedicargli il tema di una settimana? :)
When I was little every year with the end of schools I spent a week with my family in Nice: this lasted until almost the end of high school, when my brother and I have started to prefer to stay home for the first trips to the sea with friends who had not yet leaved ... However I still have wonderful memories of these holidays, especially for the atmosphere in Côte d'Azur: was very different from the one of the Italian seaside towns (although I must admit that the sea was nothing special): simple and sophisticated and extremely free at the same time. One of the things that struck me the most was the fact that there I saw people wearing full sailor or squares Vichy-style outfits as if nothing (not to mention topless ...)! Needless to say, I immediately fell in love with that style and in this time of year inevitably stripes and pastel squares return to become part of my everyday looks: How could i not dedicate to all of this the theme of the week? :)
