Novità da Hermès

Non solo Hermès ci presenta delle novità, ma anche tante. E variano dal campo dell' orologeria a quello dei profumi. Partiamo da quest' ultimo: la maison parigina ha infatti appena rilanciato una nuova fragranza della collezione Jardins, chiamata "Un jardin sur le toit" (un giardino sul tetto). Il nome si ispira al piccolo attico del palazzo della selleria nel pieno centro di Parigi, al famoso 24 di faubourg saint Honorè. Un vero giardino segreto, come ci dice anche il sito, nel cuore della capitale francese.
Hermès is giving us, in this months, many news, from fragrances to watches. Speaking about fragrances, in fact, the Paris-based house has just launched a new one, of the gardens (jardins) collection, the "Un jardin sur le toit" (a garden on the roof), inspired to the little one on the top of the palace of 24 fbg. Saint Honorè, a little secret in the very center of Paris.
 
 
La fragranza, quarta della serie ed ideata dal naso di Hermès Jean Claude Hellena, sa diaromi di mela, pera, rosmarino ed essenze di magnolia, tè e rosa, terra bagnata ed erba tagliata, fiori e frutta, quindi. Temo non mi piacerà, non vado matto per i profumi verdi e questo sembra anche un po' dolce, ma mi ispira.
The scent is that one of  apple, pear, rosemary, magnolia, tea, rose, wet ground and just cut grass. I think I won't like it: I don't like so much green perfumes, and this also sounds sweet, but let's try it!
Hermès, poi, ha appena presentato a questo salone del mobile di Milano la sua linea casa, formata da pezzi dalle linee essenziali e dai materiali pregiati.
And in this "salone del mobile" (furnitere exibithion) in Milan Hermès has presented the home collection, with pieces of essencial lineas and luxury materials.
Le linee di mobili sono due, a cui si aggiunge la sedia Sellier, inventata dallo studio di architettura che si occupa dei negozi Hermès: RDAI. Tralaltro, RDAI sta per Rena Duams architecture d' interieurs (o qualcosa simile). E Rena Dumas, ora deceduta, era la moglie di JL Dumas, ex presidente (morto anche lui) di Hermès. Tutto in famiglia, quindi.Dicevo, senza stare ancora a divagare, che le linee sono due: Mètiers (mestieri), disegnata dall' italianoEnzo Mari per l' ufficio e la sala da pranzo, e Matiers (materie), di Antonio Citterio, per il soggiorno. Design (e realizzazione, da parte della società BeB) Made in Italy, quindi. Grande attenzione per tessuti e materiali, colori... con creazioni anche ispirati dai mobili degli anni '20/'30 di Jean Michel Frank per la maison.Presenti poi  carta da parati e tappeti.
There are two little collections of furniture, plus the Sellier chair, invented by the architecture studio of Rena Dumas, (dead) wife of the deceased Jean Louis Dumas, ex CEO of Hermès: everything is still done into the family by the French house.
I was saying that there are two lines: Mètiers (crafts), designed by the Italian Enzo Mary for the dining room and the office, and Matiers (materials) of Antonio Citterio, for the sitting room. The design ( and the realization, made by the BeB society) is made in Italy, we can say. There's a great attention to tissues and materials, colors... with also some creations inspired by the furnitures of the 20's and 30's of Jean Michel Frank for the brand. There' re also wallpaper and rugs.
Mi ha colpito particolarmente l' allestimento, curato dall’"architetto giapponese della leggerezza, Shigeru Ban, insieme al francese Jean de Gastines." (Corriere della Sera) (Hanno progettato il centre Pompidou di Metz). Il Paviglione è interamente modulare, così che sarà facilmente possibile portarlo via e ricostruirlo altrove,  e composto da materiali naturali: legno, cartone... tutto a dare un' idea di luce, leggerezza e eleganza senza sfarzo eccessivo, nel segno dello stile Hermès.
What I particularly like is the mounting, of the Japanese architect Shigery Ban, with the French Jean de Gastines (they projected the centre Pompidou of Metz).
The pavillion is totally modular, so that it will be possible to move it away and built it in other places easily, and made of natural materials such as wood and paper. The idea is of light, lightness and elegance without too much pomp, as in the Hermès style.

Il prezzo, però, supera quello del contenuto: 1400 dollari. Forse un po' troppo?

Finiamo questa carrellata con gli orologi, in cui la maison francese si cimenta sempre di più. Anche qui Hermès ha una concezione di lusso estremamente raffinata: non essere schiavi del tempo, poterlo controllare. é un qualcosa di effimero (ma del resto il lusso è effimero), eppure l' idea di non dover sottostare a orari imposti è buona. Ed è quello che fa la "selleria".
We're going to finish, with the watches, that are becoming a challenge for the french brand. Hermès shows us its idea of luxury: not being slaves of the time, but having the possibility to control it.
It's something ephemeral (luxury IS ephemeral), but the concept is good. And this is what the saddle-maker Hermès is doing. 

Eccovi il Cape Cod Grands Heures: ognuno può personalizzare la distanza tra le varie cifre e, mentre le lancette dei minuti e dei secondi girano sempre allo stesso modo, quelle delle ore vanno più lente a voler dare l' impressione che le ore più belle della giornata scorrano più lentamente, e viceversa. Il meccanismo è un piccolo gioiello meccanico che ci fa scegliere la disposizione delle ore in modo di adattarsi al nostro stile di vita: non siamo più noi schiavi del tempo, ma il tempo si modella a noi, questa l' idea. Il movimento, Hermès H1 (l primo Hermès, o sbaglio!?) è automatico, modulo “Grandes Heures”,  con  42 ore di riserva di carica.
here you are the Cape Cod Grands Heures: everyone can chose his own distance between the numbers so that we have the impression that the most beautiful hours of the day go on quietly and the worst ones run away fast (the hours dials go faster and more slowly, the other ones at the same speed).  This is only an illusion, but lovely: the idea is that we are not more slaves of the time, is the time which is our slave.  The movement, Hermès H1 (is it the first Hermès or am I wrong!?), is automatic, with a charge reserve of 42 hours.

Questo bel orologio dall' aspetto "breguettiano" è l' Arceau le temps suspendu.  La sua caratteristica è che ci si ritrova, semplicemente premendo un tasto, in una bolla magica fuori dal tempo: la lancetta della data sparisce e le altre si fermano in una zona magica, più o meno all' altezza delle ore dodici. Poi, ricliccando sul tasto, si ricomincia senza aver bisogno di reimpostare l' orario, come se non ci fosse mai stato questo stop di tempo. Un piccolo lusso, anche se solo immaginario, nonchè una piccola prodezza tecnica (è il primo orologio del genere) che, uniti all' estetica gradevole, lo fanno diventare un bell' oggetto.
This fine watch, of Breguet style, is the Arceau le temps suspendu. The characteristic it has is that, just pushing a button, you are in a magic zone out of the time: the date dial vanishes and the other ones stop under the 12. Then, just pressing another time the button, the time begins to stream again, without the necessity of reset the hour. That one of stopping the time is a little luxury (but only imaginary), but also a little technical valiance (it's the first watch of this kind) that, with the charming aesthetic, make it a beautiful object.
