Ormai ci siamo: Capodanno è dietro l'angolo! :D
Per chi non avesse ancora deciso come festeggiare, perchè non partecipare alle celebrazioni del Capodanno in Piazza con gli amici?
Ma bisogna andarci preparati: ecco alcune dritte per festeggiare al meglio!

Indossate indumenti caldi. Mettete un cappotto o un parka caldo, sciarpa, guanti, ecc. Non risparmiatevi: le temperature invernali possono calare rapidamente, soprattutto durante la notte, quindi assicuratevi di imbottirvi per bene dato che dovrete stare fuori per molte lunghe ore nell'aria gelida .
- Assicurarsi di indossare anche scarpe adeguate e calze pesanti. I piedi freddi e doloranti rischiano davvero di rovinarvi la serata.
Arrivare presto. In genere va bene qualsiasi momento tra 15:00-17:00 del pomeriggio nelle piazze più affollate. Anche se suona esagerato, è essenziale se volete garantirvi una bella vista del palco e degli artisti che si esibiranno. Se arrivate tardi rischiate di ritrovarvi schiacciati nella folla senza vedere niente, o , nel peggiore dei casi , non riuscirete neppure ad entrare nella piazza.
- Portatevi qualcosa da fare mentre aspettate, come cruciverba, giochini sul telefono, o una buona lettura.
- Andate con qualcuno. Potrebbe essere una buona idea portare con sé un familiare altrettanto coraggioso o un'amico. Anche se è vero che in queste occasioni si fa facilmente amicizia i festaioli intorno a voi, potreste ritrovarvi a desiderare di voler condividere questa esperienza anche con qualcuno che conoscete bene.
Se volete vedere bene gli artisti che si esibiranno in piazza e siete stati abbastanza fortunati da trovare un posto proprio accanto al palco, è probabile potrete anche stringere la mano o anche parlare con gli animatori dopo la loro performance.
- Ad ogni modo non vi angustiate se non avete trovato un posto con una buona visuale del palco e dello spettacolo in piazza, in genere sono istallati maischermi in tutta la zona che trasmettoni in diretta l'evento.
Quando il conto alla rovescia raggiunge gli ultimi dieci secondi, unitevi al countdown con le centinaia di compagni festaioli in piazza . E a mezzanotte, fate gli auguri più forte che potete, baciate il vostro innamorato, e godetevi il calo della musica post-countdown.

Lasciate la piazza non appena possibile dopo la fine dei festeggiamenti. Altrimenti rischiate di ritrovarvi ingolfati in lunghe e frustranti code per uscire dalla piazza. Milioni di persone saranno in giro per tornare a casa o in hotel, potrebbe volerci parecchio per riuscire a tornare a casa...

- Divertitevi! Per molti partecipanti le celebrazioni del Capodanno in Piazza sono un evento da una volta -nella-vita , perciò godetevi al meglio la vostra notte. E scattate tante foto per ricordare l'occasione.
- Questo tipo di evento è molto popolare csoprattutto tra i giovani, ma si possono vedere anche famiglie con bambini piccoli o persone anziane in piazza. Se rientrate in questa categoria, tenete presente che i bambini possono diventare irrequieti e impazienti in attesa al freddo senza niente da fare e molto probabilmente avranno bisogno del bagno. E' sconsigliabile anche portare persone anziane a questo tipo di festeggiamenti perché potrebbero ammalarsi e stancarsi troppo a stare in piedi fuori con l' aria frizzante della sera per diverse ore .
- Lasciare tutti gli oggetti di valore non necessari a casa e tenete quelli necessari molto vicini alla vostra persona. Aree affollate come queste sono un paradiso per gli scippatori.

But you have to go prepared: so here are some tips on how to attend the New Year's Celebrations in Town Square
1Wear warm clothing. Wear a warm jacket, scarf, mittens, etc. if you're going to wait to see the ball drop. Winter temperatures can get downright chilly and brisk, especially during New Year's Eve, so make sure to bundle up unless you want to stand outside for many long hours in the freezing air.

- Don't be upset if you have a crummy view of the ball drop or entertainers in Square. Huge video screens are set up throughout the area that display live coverage of the event, as well as the countdown, for revelers who haven't made it to the center of the action.
5Leave as soon as you can after the ball drops. Otherwise you risk facing a very difficult and frustrating time getting out of Square in any hurry. Millions of people will be either returning home or to their hotels, and you can expect long lines and wait times.
Tips
- Enjoy yourself! As stated above, for many attendees the New Year's celebrations in Square are a once-in-a-lifetime event, so make the most of your night. Take photos to remember the occasion.
- This event is very popular with the young adult age group, but you may see families with young children or elderly people in Square too. But beware that young children may become fidgety and impatient waiting in the cold with nothing for them to do (unless you have brought a favorite book, magazine, toy, etc. of theirs) and they will very probably need the non-existent bathroom. You may also want to keep an eye on your fellow elderly people joining you, because they could become ill or faint just standing outside in the brisk air for several hours.
- Leave all unnecessary valuables at home and keep those that you must bring very close to your person. Crowded areas such as this are a pick-pocket's paradise.
