Painting of the week - Redondo

In tema di estate, mare e sole, non potevo scegliere un autore diverso, se ben più attuale di quelli trattati fin'ora. Le sconvolgenti opere di Vincente Romero, pittore madrileno proveniente dalla scuola d'Arte di San Fernando, la stessa frequentata da Salvador Dalì negli anni 20'. Le sue opere, romantiche e ricche di colore, sembrano incarnare una perfezione quasi fotografica, con l'ulteriore particolare di presentarsi al contempo evanescenti, soffici e tenui, proprio come i ricordi.E' per questo motivo che ho sentito la necessità di parteciparvi delle sue incantevoli opere, nonostante egli sia un autore contemporaneo. In effetti, dopo la creazione di questa rubrica, ho con piacere appreso quanti talentuosi artisti poco conosciuti vi siano al mondo ed è un piacere con me scoprirli e condividerli con ognuno di voi.Tornando a Romero, fu noto anche come capace scultore, ma presto riconobbe nella pittura la sua più grande abilità, individuando nella luce e nei paesaggi della Costa Brava, luogo in cui si stabilì definitivamente, la sua preziosa fonte d'ispirazione.  I particolari sono labili come in questo dipinto, Redondo, in cui una fanciulla è raffigurata in tutta la sua grazia sulla riva del mare e mentre essa si avvicina rapita dal suo fascino, i suoi abiti bianchi disegnano le sue forme, mentre la luce risplende irradiandola di un fatale candore. Anche la scelta dell'utilizzo di un accessorio quale l'ombrello in pizzo, esaltano la delicatezza della donna, unitamente al colore candido delle sue vesti. E' tutto semplice ma particolarmente raffinato e colpisce proprio grazie all'effetto di una genuinità percepibile, come fosse una realtà che noi tutti conosciamo bene e che stiamo osservando da vicino, ma in maniera più languida, come nella visione di un sogno. L'utilizzo del pennello è consapevole ed esperto ed è meravigliosa il bagliore che si scorge attraverso i ricami del vestito, che in un'atmosfera pudìca ed eterea, riescono a comunicare tutta la femminilità e insieme la sensualità della creatura protagonista del dipinto. 
On the subject of summer, sea and sun, I couldn't choose a different author, though far more current than those treated so far. The shocking works by Vincente Romero, Madrid painter from San Fernando school of Arts, the same frequented by Salvador Dali in the 20s'. His works, romantic and rich in color, seem to embody a photographic perfection, with the added detail to show up at the same time fleeting, fluffy and soft, just like memories. Is for this reason that I felt the need to take part of his fascinating works, although he's a contemporary author. In fact, after the creation of this book, I learned with pleasure how many talented artists there are little known to the world and it's a pleasure for me to discover and share them with everyone. Going back to Romero, he was also an able sculptor, but soon he recognized in painting his greatest skill, identifying the light and landscapes of the Costa Brava, the place where he settled, his invaluable source of inspiration. The details are blurred as in this painting, in which a young girl is depicted in all her grace on the sea shore, and as it approaches kidnapped by his charm, her white clothes draw its forms, while the light shines radiating a fatal candor. Even the choice of using an accessory such as the lace umbrella, highlight the delicacy of women, together with the white color of her clothes. It 's all very simple but elegant and striking thanks to the effect of a perceived naturalness, as if it were a reality that we all know well and that we are watching closely, but at a more languid, as in the vision of a dream. The use of the brush is aware and knowledgeable and it's wonderful  the glow that we can see through the embroidery of the dress, which in a demure and ethereal atmosphere, are able to communicate all the femininity and sensuality of the creature protagonist of this painting.
