Sono passati i tempi in cui indossavo sgargianti (e orrendi) piercing per l'ombelico all'orecchio e pensavo che le perle facessero vecchia. E per fortuna anche definitivamente finiti. Tornassi indietro, eviterei di certo alcuni degli errori/orrori di stile che hanno segnato la mia adolescenza. O forse no. Dopo tutto, è sbagliando che si imparano tante sacrosante verità, come che i leggings non sono pantaloni, che il fondo schiena e il relativo intimo vanno coperti e che la vera eleganza non sta nei diamanti, ma nelle perle, vere o finte che siano. Ci sarà pur un motivo se Chanel ne ha fatto l'immancabile dettaglio di ogni sua collezione. Sarà perché sono un gioiello senza tempo e senza età, e se anche mi sono serviti quasi 21 anni per capirlo, ormai ne sono fermamente convinta. O forse perché ti ci potresti vestire da capo a piedi come Katy Perry o sceglierle anche solo per impreziosire un beanie, la tracolla di una clutch o un cerchietto per capelli che risulteresti sempre tremendamente di classe. A voi la scelte della vostra motivazione più convincente. Ciò che so è che si prestano a dei DIY di una facilità imbarazzante, ma di grandissimo effetto, e che non vedo l'ora di realizzare totalmente by myself.

Or maybe because you could dress only with them like Katy Perry or choose them just to embellish a beanie, the shoulder strap of a clutch or a hairband but you would be always tremendously classy. You can choose your more convincing motivation. What I know is that they lend themselves to embarassing easy but also to great effect DIY, and I can't wait to realize them fully by myself.
