Saturday night, I admit just passing, we were @Eurochocolate Perugia. It is a chocolate fair of international importance, which lasts a week. This year's theme was the "2.0" world and was entitled "applichiamoci" (let's app - more or less). Sicuro è che siamo arrivati un po' allo sbaraglio, senza programmi, né aver consultato sito, app ecc. ecc. Però ecco, immagino che faccia piacere a molti, soprattutto della zona, farsi un giro all'Eurochocolate senza aver prima fatto un planning preciso.
It is certain that we arrived without the programs, or consulting website, apps etc. etc.. But I imagine that will please many, especially in the area, take a ride at Eurochocolate without having first made a precise planning.

Passeggiare tra le bancarelle e gli stand è senz'altro piacevole l'atmosfera del sabato sera era rilassata e allegra. Le vie sono animate da una playlist a tema cioccolatoso e se l'occhio vuole la sua parte, l'avrà: resistere è difficile.
Walking among the stalls and stands is certainly pleasant the atmosphere on Saturday evening was relaxed and cheerful. The streets were alive by a chocolate themed playlist and if the eye wants its part, they will: it is difficult to resist.

Però, però, però. Però mi aspettavo più stand che promuovessero le eccellenze artigianali, pasticcere e locali. Invece il tutto è dominato dai grandi marchi commerciali. Andando così allo sbaraglio, ciò che si trova è un grande mercato del cioccolato. Ciò che vedi, se vuoi, lo compri. Mi dicevano che invece un tempo era possibile degustare molto (ovviamente oggi è abbastanza irrealistico, con tutte le persone che ci sono).
But, but, but. But I'd expected more stands that promote excellence in craftsmanship, and local confectioner. Instead, everything is dominated by large commercial brands. So going into the fray, what you find is a large market of chocolate. What you see, if you like, you've buy it. They told me that instead years ago it was possible to taste a lot (of course today it is quite unrealistic, because of the quantity of people that are there).

Ma comunque il fatto è che i grandi marchi sono reperibilissimi anche fuori dalla mainfestazione (in ogni negozio/bar/supermercato). Quindi, al di là dell'atmosfera, la sostanza mi ha un po' delusa.
But still the fact is that the big brands are also available out of the event (in any shop / bar / supermarket). So, beyond the atmosphere, the substance was a little disappointed.

Ovviamente questo comporta anche un omologazione generale dei prodotti in vendita. Solo qualcuno ha tentato di distinguersi, talvolta anche con trovate divertenti e ironiche.

Ciò che mi ha piacevolmente stupita è la città: Perugia sembra carinissima (per quel poco che ho visto). L'architettura è quella tipica di queste zone e la trovo stupenda. Poi essendo città universitaria immagino sia anche viva e popolosa anche senza cioccolaterie varie. Approfondirò la materia! ;)
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by the city: Perugia seems cute (for what I've seen). The architecture is typical of these areas and I find it wonderful. Then being a campus it is also lively and populous without chocolate variety. I hope to study in deep the city, once again! ;)
