ENG - Hi everyone! Today I’ll review some gifted items sent by the British brand Yours Clothing that produces and sells gorgeous garments up to size 14 to 32 (EU 44-62 look size chart). I was gifted a dress and a shrug from the New In collection which includes strinking summery pieces of clothing in many different styles. First of all, I’d like to thank Yours Clothing and Jacqueline, Press and PR office, who was just lovely. Second, I was impressed by the great care Yours Clothing pays to the fitting of each garment. Today I’ll show you a “Pop Summer” look, great to enhance curvy/plus-size women’s shapely bodies.

IT - Ciao a tutti! Oggi vi propongo la mia recensione di due capi d’abbigliamento che mi sono stati regalati dal brand Britannico Yours Clothing, che produce e commercializza abiti nelle taglie dalla 46 alla 64 (guarda la tabella delle taglie). Dall’azienda ho ricevuto un abito e un coprispalle della collezione estiva New In, che comprende degli abiti bellissimi e in tanti stili diversi. Innanzitutto, vorrei ringraziare Yours Clothing e Jacqualine dell’ufficio Stampa e PR, che è stata davvero deliziosa e mi ha aiutata a scegliere i capi da recensire. In secondo luogo, devo dire che sono rimasta molto colpita dalla cura che Yours Clothing dedica al taglio di ogni indumento. Per saperne di più, visitate questo link. Ora, passiamo all’outfit e alla recensione. Ho scelto dei capi molto versatili, cosicché potrò adattarli alle occasioni e agli stili più disparati. Oggi vi mostro la mia proposta per un look “Pop Summer”, straordinario per esaltare i corpi morbidi della donne curvy/plus-size.
ENG - I fell in love with the midi floral dress and the knit shrug as soon as I saw them. Their style seems so flattering and traditional, it reminds me the typical “Sunday look” Italian women used to wear back in the Sixties. And nowadays, the floral dress + knit shrug represents the ideal basic combination to be transformed and personalised day by day, according to the mood and occasion. I decided to go for a lady-like look with a pop of summery colours: the hot pink bag, the blue necklace and the strong make-up which is actually inspired both by Diego Dalla Palma current collection and by Pedro Almodovar‘s films characters. The result is a mediterranean, classy look with a modern flavour.
IT - Mi sono innamorata dell’abito floreale e del coprispalle lavorato a maglia appena li ho visti. Sembrano capi molto tradizionali, mi ricordano le tenute “della domenica” che le donne italiane indossavano negli anni Sessanta. Mentre oggi, credo che questa rappresenti la combinazione ideale per un look base adatto ad essere trasformato e personalizzato giorno dopo giorno, a seconda dell’umore e dell’occasione. Io ho scelto di interpretare un look lady-like ma con un tocco di colore: la borsa fucsia, la collana azzurra e un make-up deciso, per il quale ho preso ispirazione sia dalla collezione attuale di Diego Dalla Palma, sia dai personaggi dei film di Pedro Almodovar. Il risultato è un look mediterraneo, di classe ma con un sapore contemporaneo.
ENG - Well, I think it’s clear I’m definitely fond of the style of these two items. But I’ll provide you with more information. The floral dress sits below the knee and is made of 100% viscose, while the shrug is 50% acrylic, 48% cotton and 2% metallic yarn. They’re really comfortable to wear, the dress has a flare style due to the pleated skirt, it’s light and fluttering, not transparent at all. What surprises me about the dress is that this fit and size could fit in a flattering way even a slightly smaller or bigger body than mine. The useful thing is that it comes with to laces to tie on the back, so the dress seems to be quite adjustable. I love it! This means that I can tie it a bit tighter when I want to highlight the waist, or even wear it loose for a more comfy look. The shurg is great to cover the shoulder and add a kind of sparkly flare to any look. The fabric seems fresh and comfortable on the skin and doesn’t make you sweat. I’m so happy and greatful to add these 2 pieces in my wardrobe. I think any plus-size woman should own such a well-designed dress: it has a super feminine design, sits well on curves and, as I have just said, is very flexible. I suggest you have a look at Yours Clothing website, you’ll find loads of pretty items in plus size! I’m honest: I’m not an experienced online shopper, but I have shopped at some of the most popular European online stores for plus sizes. And, as far as I can see from the garments I was gifted, Yours Clothing goods seem to be better quality compared with other plus-size brands in the same price range.

IT - Beh, credo abbiate già capito che sono stata letteralmente rapita dallo stile di questi capi. Ma voglio darvi qualche informazione aggiuntiva. Il vestito a fiori cade sotto al ginocchio ed è composto al 100% da viscosa, mentre il coprispalle è composto da 50% acrilico, 48% cotone, 2% lurex. Entrambi sono molto comodi e confortevoli da indossare, il vestito è svasato e con la gonna a pieghe, è leggero e svolazzante, per niente trasparente. Ciò che mi ha sorpresa del vestito è che questo modello e questa taglia potrebbero essere indossati, con lo stesso strepitoso risultato, da donne con qualche chiletto in più o in meno rispetto a me. Molto utili a tale scopo sono i nastri sulla vita che si legano sulla schiena e consentono di modulare in qualche modo l’ampiezza dell’abito. Si può stringere di più per evidenziare il punto vita o lasciare i nastri più lenti per un look più rilassato. Il coprispalle è perfetto per coprire e allo stesso tempo donare un po’ di scintillio a qualunque outfit. Il tessuto risulta fresco sulla pelle e non fa sudare. Sono così felice e grata di poter inserire questi capi nel mio guardaroba. Credo che ogni donna plus-size dovrebbe avere un abito con un modello così così ben fatto: il design è iper femminile, cade morbido sulle curve esaltandole e, come dicevo, è abbstanza flessibile. Vi consiglio di fare un giro sul sito web di Yours Clothing, troverete un sacco di capi carini e in taglie grandi! Sono sincera: non sono un’esperta di shopping online, ma ho acquistato diverse cose in alcuni degli shopping online più rinomati in Europa. E, da quel che posso vedere dai capi che mi sono stati regalati, posso dire che i vestiti di Yours Clothing sembrano di qualità superiore rispetto alla merce nella stessa fascia di prezzo proposta da altri brand.
