Profumi maschili e Bleu di Chanel

Mi sono resa conto che, salvo un accenno nel post dedicato a Eau Sauvage di Dior, non parlo quasi mai di profumi maschili. E dire che mi piacciono moltissimo, sia da annusare sia da indossare. Trovo che siano in grado di aggiungere un tocco in più al fascino di una donna, creando quello stile androgino che io apprezzo molto. Quando metto un profumo da uomo, mi sento subito più sicura di me, più forte e decisa, ho più voglia di osare e di mettermi in gioco, come se lasciassi per un attimo le mie fragilità e i miei dubbi chiusi in un cassetto. Qualcuno potrebbe obiettare che sia quasi come indossare una maschera, ma io non credo: penso invece che questo riesca a portare alla luce parti di noi che normalmente nascondiamo, vuoi per convenzioni sociali che molte volte vogliono ancora la donna unicamente dolce e arrendevole, vuoi perché ci fanno paura, non sappiamo come gestirle. Quando lavoravo al museo, molte volte rimanevo colpita dal profumo indossato dai visitatori. È quasi incredibile come un profumo gradevole e personale riesca a rendere estremamente più affascinante un uomo normale, o in là con gli anni, o vestito in modo dimesso. Nel corso del tempo, ho stilato la mia personale classifica dei profumi maschili che preferisco, principalmente grandi classici come Antaeus di Chanel, ma sono sempre aperta alle novità. Restando in tema, tra le ultime uscite mi è piaciuto davvero molto Bleu di Chanel (giuro, il fatto che come testimonial sia stato scelto il magnifico Gaspard Ulliel c’entra solo in parte…) decisamente maschile ma con un tono giovane e frizzante, adatto anche a una ragazza. La femminilità intrinseca di questa fragranza aumenta con il passare delle ore, quando si arriva alle note di cuore: leggerissimo, appena percepibile, si sentono quasi solo le note agrumate e del pompelmo, un ricordo estivo labile, come la sabbia che ritrovavamo nei sandali e nelle borse da spiaggia una volta tornati a casa dalle vacanze. La nota piccante, ma sottilmente floreale allo stesso tempo, è data dal pepe rosa. Le note di fondo, composte da incenso e zenzero, aumentano la sostanza del profumo e la sua persistenza. Una scia sottile, ma destinata a durare a lungo. Trovo che sia un maschile perfetto per chi non ne ha mai indossati e vuole cominciare, ma desidera partire con qualcosa di piuttosto delicato. Infine, giusto perché oltre al naso anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte, ecco la pubblicità con Gaspard Ulliel come protagonista:

I've realized that, except for a little hint in the post dedicated to Eau Sauvage by Dior, I've never talked about male perfumes. That's quite strange, cause I totally love them, both to smell and to wear. I personally think that they can add a sparkle to female's charm, creating that androgynous style which I adore. When I'm wearing a male fragrance, suddenly I feel more self-confident, stronger and firmer, I really want to dare and be involved in something new, like I left for a minute my fear and weakness locked in a drawer. Someone could object that is as I'm wearing a mask, but I don't think so: actually, I believe that this can unearth a part of us that we normally hide, perhaps for social stereotypes - which still want the woman sweet and accommodating 24/7 - perhaps because we are scared of them, we don't know how to manage them. When I was working at the museum, several times I used to be impressed by guest's perfume. It's almost incredible how a pleasant and peculiar scent can immediately add a lot of charm to a normal man, to an old one or to a person dressed in a humble way. Over time, I've redacted my own chart about the male perfumes I love the most - and most of them are great classical scents such as Antaeus by Chanel - but I'm always open to the new. Speaking about the French brand, among the last newbies I really loved Bleu by Chanel (I swear, that's not only because of Gaspard Ulliel as testimonial...) definitely masculine but with a young and fizzy note, suitable also for a girl. The hidden femininity of this scent becomes more and more clear throughout the hours, when it comes to heart notes: super light, barely perceptible, you can smell almost only citrus and grapefruit notes, a fading summer memory, like the sand that you found in your sandals and beach bag once you were back home from holidays. The spicy note, slightly floreal at the same time, belongs to pink pepper. The base notes, composed by incense and ginger, increase the essence of the perfume, and also its persistence. A subtle scent, but definitely long lasting. I think that it's the perfect male perfume for those who have never weared one of them and want to begin right now, but starting with something rather delicate. Finally, just because eyes want their amusement as well as the nose, that's the advertisement with Gaspard Ulliel as main character (look up for the video!)
