Rain look: tame hair & make up

Per concludere il discorso sull'abbigliamento "da pioggia" non potevo non toccare un'argomento che è la disperazione un pò di tutte noi: come far sopravvivere capelli e make up a vento ed umidità? La pioggia può essere davvero distruttiva per trucco ed acconciatura, facendo increspare anche i capelli più curati e facendo sbavare il migliore dei make up. Certo in parte si può rimediare al problema usando prodotti che tengano i capelli sotto controllo e cosmetici waterproof, mai sa che non sono sufficienti, ecco quindi alcuni trucchi per cercare di limitare i danni.

Legate indietro i capelli. L'umidità nell'aria ed il vento renderanno difficile cercare di tenere in ordine i vostri capelli praticamente in qualsiasi altra acconciatura. Cercare di tenere sotto controllo i capelli ricci poi, può risultare ancora più difficile poiché l'umidità li renderà crespi e con onde indomabili. Riducete questo effetto legando i capelli in una coda di cavallo o in una treccia francese. certo se non usate prodotti per tenerli a bada tenderanno comunque ad incresparsi, ma l'effetto sarà di sicuro meno notevole.
Provate ad intrecciare i capelli. Le trecce aggiungono senza dubbio valore al vostro stile, ed in più tendono a ridurre l'effetto indisciplinato e crespo, ma richiedono una certa manualità, o l'effetto potrebbe essere addirittura l'opposto. Provate le trecce strette se cercate un look allegro e giovane o una coda di cavallo intrecciata morbida se volete un'aspetto più sofisticato.
Usate siero e lacca anti-crespo. Sia che abbiate deciso di tenere i capelli sciolti o legati, prodotti per capelli come questi sono assolutamente necessari in un giorno di pioggia. Il siero è particolarmente utile se c'è vento: i capelli che svolazzano si increspano ancora di più. La lacca può non essere necessaria se adottate un look casual e naturale, ma se volete che i vostri capelli restino fermi, qualche spuzzata di lacca anti crespo ci vuole.
Tenete fermi i capelli con il gel. Se avete i capelli corti, le code di cavallo e le trecce non sono un'opzione che popotete prendere in considerazione. Per uno stile ordinato tirate indietro i capelli e fissateli con il gel: terrà i capelli in piega, li luciderà ed eviterà l'effetto crespo.
Indossate mascara, eye-liner e ombretto waterproof. Il mascara è davvero terribile quando comincia a sbavare perciò un mascara waterproof è una necessità assoluta in un giorno di pioggia. L'eye-liner e l'ombretto possono anche colarvi negli occhi se si bagnano, perciò sarebbe comunque meglio mettere le versioni waterproof anche di questi.
Preferite fondotinta liquido e blush in crema invece di quelli in polvere. I cosmetici liquidi non lavano facilmente via quanto quelli in polvere, e questo garantirà maggiore tenuta al vostro make up. In più i i cosmetici liquidi e in crema non si striano facilmente come le polveri quando si bagnano.
Tenete il make up il più naturale possibile. Meno ne mettete meglio è. Quali che siano i prodotti che userete, c'è sempre un certo numero di probabilità che sbavino o che si rovinino. Perciò tenete il trucco al minimo indispensabile, mettendo solo l'indispensabile.

Qulche consiglio finale:

Assicuratevi che tutto ciò che si trova nelle vostre tasche resti asciutto. Per esempio, se portate l' iPod mettetelo in una custodia impermeabile prima di infilarlo nella tasca del vostro trench o vi si bagnerà alla prima occasione.
Se indossate l' orologio scegliete un modello impermeabile o resistente all'acqua.
Se indossate gli occhiali, guardate se riuscite a mettere le lenti a contatto, le lenti portrebbero bagnarsi con la pioggia e appannarsi al chiuso e questo renderà molto disagevole la vostra giornata.

Tie your hair back. Odds are, the moisture in the air will make it difficult to style your hair in any elaborate manner. Anti-frizz serum is especially usefully in taming fly-away frizz caused by the humidity. Hairspray may not be necessary for casual styles, but if you want your hair to stay put, you should definitely consider a quick spritz.
Slick your hair back with gel. If you have short hair, ponytails and braids are not exactly an option you can take advantage of. For a fuss-free rainy day style, slick your hair back with gel. This keeps your hair styled, frizz-free, and in place while giving it a wet appearance that nullifies the desire to keep your hair dry.
Wear waterproof mascara, eye liner, and eyeshadow. Mascara can look especially bad once it runs, so waterproof mascara is an absolute necessity on a rainy day. Eye liner and eyeshadow can also run and get in your eyes once wet, so you should look for waterproof versions of these, as well.
Apply liquid foundations and cream blushes instead of powders. Liquid cosmetics do not wash away as easily as powders, so your make-up will last longer. Additionally, liquids and creams do not streak as easily as powders do upon getting wet.
Keep your make-up light. The less you can get away with wearing, the better. No matter what products you apply, there is still some chance that they will run or wear off. If you feel comfortable skipping make-up for a day, go for it. Otherwise, keep your make-up application at a bare minimum, only opting for a light coating of the products you feel are “must haves” in your daily beauty routine.

Tips

Make sure everything in your pockets also stays dry. For instance, if you carry around an iPod or mp3 player, put it into a waterproof case before sticking it in the pocket of your trench coat.
If you wear a watch on your wrist, leave it off or switch to a water-proof or water-resistant watch for the day.
If you wear prescription eyeglasses, consider ordering prescription contacts for rainy days. Once your glasses get wet and foggy in a rainstorm, it can be difficult to see clearly.
