Per Erin permettere a qualcuno di avvicinarsi tanto da non avere più segreti è un’impresa ardua. Quasi impossibile.
La mia recensione★★½Ormai è risaputo: crei un primo libro per un certo target di lettori che viene letto e amato da molti e allora che fai? Continui inesorabilmente per quella falsa riga perchè sai di aver trovato la gallina dalle uova d'oro. Ma purtroppo, di originalità, in queste storie, non c'è gran molto.
Ragazze adolescenti incomprese, ragazzi belli descritti come "da togliere il fiato" e classiche star della scuola, l'amore che - immancabilmente - sboccia tra i due. Puff, è fatta.Le ragazzine al giorno d'oggi si cibano solo di queste storie rosa che hanno tutt'altro che da insegnare se non alimentare la speranza che qualcosa di simile possa accadere pure a loro.Per carità, sognare non è proibito, ma quando ti ritrovi sotto gli occhi e sugli scaffali delle librerie decine di libri così, dopo un po' inizia ad essere stancante.
Dopo la trilogia dei "Disastri" tanto acclamata che ha reso popolare l'autrice, è arrivata da noi in Italia anche quest'altra trilogia (perchè un libro unico, data la poche mole di pagine che costituisce ogni volume, era chiedere troppo... ma si sa, il commercio è commercio!) che non ha nulla di nuovo se non lasciare il lettore a bocca asciutta già alla fine di questo primo capitolo.La storia che viene raccontata crea una serie di dubbi e domande a cui non viene data risposta. Immagino che il mistero venga sfatato nei volumi successivi, che si sarà costretti a comprare se si vuole avere qualche chiarimento in merito. Peccato che, sommato il prezzo dei vari libri, si ottenga una cifra non indifferente.
Ormai, e purtroppo, sono diventata allergica a queste storie, ma - in modo incoerente - faccio parte anche io di quel vasto gruppo di lettori che legge questi libri, con la differenza però che io lo faccio perchè voglio sapere cos'è che attira tutta questa schiera di ragazze adoranti.Bah...Una lato positivo devo ammettere però che c'è: la lettura è scorrevole, moderna e non di alto livello. Per una lettura semplice e senza troppe pretese. Giudicate voi.

Misunderstood teenager girls, beautiful men, described as "breath-taking", and the classic high-school VIPs, the feeling of love blossoming between them... It's done!
Girls these days feed mostly on these love stories that have nothing to teach, growing inside them the illusion they will live something similar in their life.
Dreaming is not forbidden, but when I find dozens of books like this on the shelves of a bookshop I quickly grow tired of it.
After "Beautiful", the highly acclaimed trilogy of the disasters, that made its writer famous, this new one arrived to italy (to me it could have been published in one volume only given the shortness of the three books but you know, that's what the market wants) having nothing new but the feeling of unsatisfaction it leaves in the reader at the end of this first chapter.
The story being told creates a whole series of doubts and questions you are not given an answer to. I guess the mystery will be solved in the following books, books that we will have to buy if we want even the least clarification.
Sadly I became intollerant to these stories but - in some incoherent way - I am part of that vast group or readers who read them, with the only difference that I do it to understand what's catching all these adoring teenage girls' attentions!
There's one positive side of the coin though: I read it fluently, finding the tone pleasantly modern and not on a high profile. For an easy read with no big claim. I leave this to you to judge.
