Two years ago, Alexander McQueen tragically took his own life, found dead in his apartment on February 11. The news shocked  the fashion industry and the public at large. Last year in May more then half-million visitors have enjoy Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective at New York's Metropolitan Museum. Now the company is owned by PPR - move forward with confidence and with a new vision that keep Lee's incredible world of fashion alive thanks to Sarah Burton who bravely took up the reins after beign his right hand for 13 years, she joined the team after leaving Central Saint Martins college. Burton felt a duty to continue the business and continue the narrative of romance, drama and exquisite craftsmanship that is the DNA of McQueen instead of just ending up a label by best-selling skull scarves and perfumes. Due anni fa, Alexander McQueen si è tragicamente tolto la vita, trovato morto nel suo appartamento l'11 febbraio. La notizia ha scioccato l'industria della moda e il grande pubblico. Lo scorso maggio più di mezzo milioni di persone hanno goduto della bella retrospettiva al Metropolitan Museum di New York intitolata Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. Oggi l'azienda è di proprietà di PPR - e sta andando avanti con fiducia e con una nuova visione che mantiene vivo l'incredibile mondo della moda di Lee grazie a Sarah Burton, che coraggiosamente ha preso le redini dopo essere stata per 13 anni il suo braccio destro, si è unita al team dopo aver finito la Central Saint Martins college di Londra. La Burton si è sentita in dovere di continuare l'attività e continuare la narrativa del romanticismo, il dramma, e l'artigianalità che è il DNA di McQueen al posto di far finire il marchio vendendo sciarpe con i teschi e profumi.
