Review- Holika Holika Sugar Syrub Gloss

Oggi vi parlo dei lipgloss della Holika Holika, cui ho già accennato qualche tempo fa. Finalmente le mie labbra riescono a resistere con solo il lipgloss, senza il bisogno di dosi massicce di base protettiva, così nei giorni scorsi ho provato i lipgloss di Holika Holika. Come vi dicevo, hanno una stesura buona e non profumano di vaniglia ma svaniscono presto, per cui devo rinnovare spesso l’applicazione, tenuto conto del raffreddore, del fatto che bevo o che magari mangio qualcosa (vabbé, con quest’operazione svaniscono anche i rossetti se è per questo…).
Ma andiamo con ordine…

Finally, my lips are able to resist the lipgloss only, without the need of massive doses of protective base, just a few days ago I tried the lipgloss of Holika Holika. As I said, have a good draft and does not smell like vanilla but disappear soon, so often I have to renew the application, given the cold, the fact that I drink or maybe eat something (Okay, with this operation also vanish lipsticks for that matter …).
But first things first …

 

Questa è la foto con i miei acquisti della Holika Holika. Del blush ve ne ho già parlato, i lipgloss sono quei due tubetti trasparenti in due colori, pesca acceso e malva chiaro. Non riesco a darvi un riferimento, purtroppo, perché sul retro non ci sono scritte in inglese, ma solo in coreano, e voi capite bene che… Il nome del prodotto è Sugar Syrub Gloss. Sì, quel “Syrub” sta per syrup, sciroppo in inglese, solo che i coreani, come buona parte delle popolazioni del Estremo oriente, hanno difficoltà a rendere dei suoni che nella loro lingua o non esistono (come il suono “f” in Giappone) o sono fusi con suoni simili (sempre i Giapponesi non hanno distinzione tra le due liquide, così “r” e “l” sono la stessa cosa). Per i coreani il problema è l’esistenza di un suono a metà strada tra “p” e “b”, così spesso si hanno questi ibridi di difficile comprensione.

Comunque sia, parentesi filologica chiusa, il gloss pesca è il numero 06, quello carne il numero 09. Ve li dico lo stesso, sia mai che non vi capiti di fare una scappata in Corea, o non riusciate a procurarveli in qualche modo (in quel caso, fatemi un fischio).

The product name is Sugar Syrub Gloss. Yes, that “Syrub”stands for syrup, but Koreans, like most of the peoples of the Far East, have difficulty to making the sounds in their language or do not exist (like the sound “f” in Japan ) or merged with similar sounds (the Japanese did not distinguish between the two liquids, so “r” and “l” are the same thing). For Koreans, the problem is the existence of a sound halfway between “p ” and “b”, so often you have these hybrids difficult to understand.
However, parentheses philological closed, the gloss peach-colored is the number 06, number 09 is the pale mauve. I tell them there the same, that there has ever happen to make a trip to Korea, or are unable to obtain them in some way (in that case, do me a whistle).

Ed ecco come appaiono i gloss una volta stesi sulla mano (pallida come un lenzuolo, lo so…). Il color malva è molto coprente, mentre quello pesca sembra più acceso e squillante. Quanto colorerà? Troppo? E il malva non morirà sulle labbra?
Premesso che si tratta di gloss, e che quindi la loro composizione è più liquida di un comune rossetto, ma meno resistente, e premesso che si tratta di due gocce generose stese sulla pelle, posso dirvi che l’effetto che si ottiene è l’esatto opposto di quello che si crede. Il malva è più resistente e coprente, nonostante sia un colore molto simile a quello della pelle, e che quindi potrebbe non notarsi troppo. Quello che ha una resa peggiore, in quanto a resa di colore sulle mie labbra, è sicuramente il color pesca.

Given that it is gloss, and then their composition is more liquid than a common lipstick but less resistant, and provided that they are two drops generous spread on the skin, I can tell you the effect I get is the exact opposite of what one believes. The pale mauve is more durable and opaque, although it is a color very similar to that of the skin, and therefore may not be noticed too. What has made worse, in terms of color rendering on my lips, is certainly the peach.

Sopra il color pesca (06) sotto il color malva chiaro (09). Come potete vedere, il color pesca è più chiaro b rillante, ma non copre affatto. Sembre addirittura un gloss rosato. Il color malva, invece, promette e mantiene copertura… per quanto possa coprire un gloss. Dobbiamo sempre ricordare che il gloss regala alle labbra soltanto un velo di colore, è quindi più brillante del rossetto ma ha una copertura minore. È un peccato, perché il color pesca mi piaceva davvero tanto (anche se, ad essere sincera, a me sembra più un corallo, ma non avevo la forza e la pazienza di mettermi a disquisire di colori con un commesso che me lo ha venduto come “pesca” e che non parlava mezza parola di inglese), ma proverò ad usarlo in primavera. Magari, potrei stendere una base, oppure il correttore, così da eliminare il rosso delle labbra (sì, sono Biancaneve), ma credo sia meglio aspettare la bella stagione per evitare di seccare troppo le labbra. Io non sono un tipo che si abbatte. Cerco sempre il modo di sfruttare i prodotti che compro, anche se non corrispondono appieno all’idea che mi ero fatta. Getto la spugna solo in casi disperati, e questo non lo è davvero.

The mauve, however, keeps promises and coverage … though it may cover a gloss. We must always remember that the gloss gives lips just a hint of color is more bright lipstick but has a smaller coverage. It’s a shame, because the peach I really liked (although, to be honest, to me looks more like a coral, but I did not have the strength and patience to put color to quibble with a clerk who sold it to me as “peach”and that he did not speak half a word of English), but I’ll try to use it in the spring. Maybe I could lay a base or concealer, so as to eliminate the red lips (yes, I’m Snow White), but I think it is better to wait for the summer to avoid dry lips too. I’m not a girl who strikes. I always look for ways to exploit the products I buy, even if not fully correspond to the idea that I had done. I give up only in desperate cases, and this is not really.

 

And before I leave, I show you a couple of pictures of the shop where I bought the blush lilac (the gloss, however, I bought them in a shop in a side street). This is the store Holika Holika to Myeongdong, the shopping area frequented by teenagers and young people. E prima di lasciarvi, vi mostro un paio di foto del negozio dove ho acquistato il blush lilla (i gloss, invece, li ho comprati in un negozio in una strada laterale). Questo è il negozio Holika Holika a Myeongdong, la zona dello shopping frequentata dagli adolescenti e dai ragazzi. Nella foto potete anche vedere la gigantografia dei CNBlue (un gruppo di idol locali) assieme ad un bellissimo gatto certosino. Questo è l’esterno, di giorno…

…e questi sono gli interni, nello stile “kawaii” che i coreani hanno copiato dai giapponesi. Io li trovo asoslutamente deliziosi, e questo stile sta d’incanto addosso alle ragazze dell’Estremo Oriente, così minute e delicate e pallide. Non trovate anche voi? fateci caso, se noi occidentali, con la nostra conformazione fisica, ci vestisismo di pizzi, rouches, crinoline e trine e merletti… sembreremmo pazze , quando non delle balene spiaggiate. Invece loro sono così carine…
E va bene, rassegnamoci ad usare almeno gli stessi cosmetici!
