Riots in UK. What is happening.

We all know the difficult situation Italy is currently facing (now made worse by the debts)However the UK is not actually Wonderland either.The huge funding cuts to welfare, education and health, made the situation of the poorer areas worse. The unemployment is at an all time high and young people don't see a future. The integration is a big issue too. Real ghetto areas survive, clearly separated from all the rest of British life.Racial tensions between police and the youths are at a breaking point on the streets.The final nail in the coffin came with Mark Duggan's death, allegedly killed by a bullet shot by the police. It all started as a protest against this episode, but it quickly degenerated into something bigger.
At first only in London, beginning from South areas and rapidly spreading towards "nicer" areas.Three nights of hell so far: violence, fire, smashed windows, looting. And apparently the riots have already spread to other big cities, such as Birmingham and Liverpool.
What is allarming is that these riots are not actually a political act. They are now only a bunch of opportunists using the excuse of chaos to go out and steal things or smash other people's property just for fun. Sad and pure vandalism.
