Sk8er girl

Lo ammetto, il post di oggi è uno sfizio che mi dovevo togliere!
Quando ero piccola ho avuto, per un certo periodo, una vera fissazione per il look skate-punk di Avril Lavigne, e anche se oggi ho decisamente superato quella fase, continuo ad apprezzarne lo stile e la musica. ;P
Anche se ormai è sinonimo dell'hardcore melodico, lo skate punk nasce originariamente come derivazione dell'hardcore, particolarmente apprezzata e conosciuta nell'ambiente degli skaters californiano, col passare del tempo il genere si è evoluto recependo influenze sempre più melodiche e pop punk.
Le prime band apparvero nella metà degli anni ottanta, in seguito, la popolarità del genere raggiunse i massimi livelli grazie a gruppi come i  Bad Religion, NOFX, The Suicide Machines, ecc.
Ma la diffusione a livello mondiale di questo genere è senza dubbio da attribuire ad Avril Lavigne, che specialmente nei suoi esordi si accostò ad esso sia musicalmente che stilisticamente.
Lo skate-punk è uno stile che in gran parte riprende e rielabora i canoni estetici del punk e del grunge mischiandoli con gli elementi tipici dell'abbigliamento spotivo da skater.
Ecco quindi che troviamo i Dr. Martens accanto alle scarpe da skater, le felpe con il cappuccio e le t-shirt strappate, i baggy pants e le catene.
Il contributo che Avril ha dato a questo stile è notevole: l'ha reso meno estremo e più accessibile, pur lasciando ampi margini all'interpretazione personale che le hanno permesso di passare agevolmente dai richiami più pop, a quelli più romantici o dark
Certo questo è un tipo di abbigliamento che si addice ad un pubblico molto giovane, ma credo  che il rimando di contrasti ed il mix di stili che lo caratterizza offra ottimi spunti anche per chi non ha più l'età per salire su uno skateboard! :)
I have to admit, this post is due to my childhood! 
When I was little I had, for a period,a real obsession with the Avril Lavigne skate-punk look, and even if today I definitely surpassed that stage, I continue to appreciate her style and music. ;P Even if right now it's synonymous of melodic hardcore, skate punk was born originally as a derivation of hardcore, particularly appreciated and known by californian skaters. Over time the genre has evolved taking increasingly melodic influences and pop punk.  The first band appeared in the mid-1980s, following the popularity of the genre reached the highest levels due to bands such as Bad Religion, NOFX, The Suicide Machines, etc. But the global spread of this genre is undoubtedly to be attributed both musically and stylistically to Avril Lavigne, especially in the beginning . The skate-punk is a style that largely takes and reprocesses the aesthetic of punk and grunge mixing and matching with the typical elements of skater clothes.  Thus we find the Dr. Martens next skater snickers, hooded sweatshirts and ripped t-shirt, baggy pants and chains. The contribution that Avril has given to this style is remarkable: made it less extreme and more accessible, while leaving ample margins to personal interpretation that allow her to easily switch from recalls more pop, to more romantics or dark Of course this is a style that suits a very young audience, but the contrasts and the mix of styles that characterizes it offers great suggestions even for those who no longer has the age to climb on a skateboard! :)
