In my last (long) post I described the wonders of the Biba exhibition in Brighton, opening soon till April 2013. Now it's all about what it left to me and what it inspired me to do! I got really attracted by the way Barbara Hulanicki styled her models in her mail to order catalogues, created the Biba 'dolly' look and worked with great photographers like Helmut Newton, Sarah Moon and David Silverstein.
Nel mio scorso (e lungo) post vi ho dscritto le meravilgie della mostra su Biba qui a Brighton, che aprira' a breve e fino ad aprile 2013. Ora, brevemente vi diro' cosa mi ha lasciato e cosa mi ha ispirato a fare! Sono stato particolarmente attratto dallo styling di Barbara Hulanicki negli outift del suo catagolo per posta, la freschezza con cui ha creato il look Biba 'da bambola' lavorando con grandi fotografi come Helmut Newton, Sarah Moon e David Silverstein.
Separates, trousers suit, floppy hats and 'dolly' make up: that's what I'd love to be able to re-create and incorporate in my styling in the next future. So stay tuned. Here a Lisa Eldridge Biba tutorial for you and for my reference too.
