The exhibitions in Venice, January 2013

How about a weekend in Venice? You will find  the charm of this city ,  the beautiful monuments And a lot of think to do! At this time among the various exhibits I noticed two that seem particularly interesting:

A miniature from the exhibition

THE MINIATURE OF THE DOGES.

The Ducal Palace is one of the most important monuments of Venice, to admire this exhibit  so inherent to this architecture  and its history is truly an opportunity not to be missed. You will see 50 volumes painted in miniature that are the undisputed witnesses of the history of Venice. The  manuscripts painted in miniature are from XIV century to the XIX century. Personally, I find that the miniature is an exceptional works produced by the artists able to synthesize in small spaces some real masterpieces. Not to be missed.

A painting from the exhibition

was born two hundred years ago: in commemoration of that anniversary this exhibition was staged to show how Wagner had influence at the iconographic and aesthetic level in the visual arts. One of the artists that best represented this influence was precisely Mariano Fortuny, who is joined in this show by other big name of the artists. You'll find 150works  to enjoy all in one breath.

Che ne dite di un week end a Venezia? Il fascino della città gli splendidi monumenti e comunque un sacco di cose da fare! In questo momento fra le varie mostre ne ho notate due che mi sembrano particolarmente interessanti:

Il palazzo ducale è uno dei monumenti più importanti di Venezia, poter ammirare questa mostra così inerente alla struttura e alla sua storia è veramente un’occasione da non perdere. Potrete  ammirare 50 volumi  miniati testimoni incontrastati della storia di Venezia. I manoscritti con miniature vanno dal trecento al Settecento. Personalmente trovo che le miniatura siano delle opere  eccezionali prodotte da artisti in grado di sintetizzare in piccoli spazi dei veri e  propri capolavori. Da non perdere.

Duecento anni fa nacque Wagner, in commemorazione a quella ricorrenza è stata allestita questa mostra per indicare come Wagner ebbe influenza anche a livello iconografico ed estetico sulle arti visive. Uno degli artisti che meglio rappresentò questa influenza fu appunto Mariano Fortuny che viene affiancato in questa mostra da altri grandi nomi illustri. Troverete ben150 opere da gustarvi tutte d’un fiato.
