The Trip – Una Pietra Colorata

Quando nel 1970 esce questo singolo, I Trip si trovano ad essere in una fase personale prodromica al rock progressivo. Le loro ispirazioni vanno ricercate nel contemporaneo rock blues inglese, sulle tracce di artisti ben quotati come John Mayall, Patto, Blodwyn Pig, Skid Row, Peddlers. Ma già in questo brano che voglio proporvi oggi, si può convergere tranquillamente sul fatto che la band è sicuramente in movimento, anche vorticoso. The Trip nascono come British Band immigrata in Italia vogliosa magari di un facile successo dovuto alle origini, ma ben presto resta contaminata da elementi italici che prendono il posto a nomi altisonanti come Ritchie Blackmore, conquistandone al tempo stesso la leadership nelle gerarchie della band. Un brano davvero bello. The Trip was born as British Band immigrated to Italy, wishing an easy success probably beacuse of the origins, but soon get contaminated by Italian elements that replaced bright names such Ritchie Blackmore, achieving in the same time the leadership in the grades of the band.
