Trend report: Neo Native

Un'ispirazione che arriva direttamente dagli Indiani Navajo è quella dei  tipici motivi tribali delle coperte, fatti di geometrie e pittura, realizzati solitamente in bianco e nero, con l'aggiunta di qualche tocco di rosso. Una delle sfilate d'eccellenza che danno vita a questa tendenza è quella della stilista Isabel Marant, la quale presenta una collezione caratterizzata da svariati stivali scamosciati e con frange, accostamenti patchwork in denim e  T-shirt con piume stampate, orecchini monopiuma, collane di denti a forma di spada, e lunghi cappotti in pelo di capra. I motivi Navajo sono presenti un pò in tutta la collezione, ma in particolare su felpe di lana tessute come coperte, gonne plissettate di cotone e jeans total white. Dalle sfilate Newyorkesi, abbiamo Proenza Schouler, che in un certo senso modernizza i tradizionali motivi Indiano-Americani  rielaborandoli al computer dando vita, così, ad uno stile etno-digital . "American Legends" è il titolo della collezione di Diane Von Furstenberg, nella quale il glamour si unisce a fantasie native e a tocchi esotici  di ispirazione gaucho, dovuti a eleganti pantaloni o gonne “gaucho” , a stivali scamosciati con tacco alto e frange ed infine ai cappelli Cordobés.
