Video body painting tatoo – stop motion tecnique

E’ con molto piacere che vi presento il mio secondo video di body painting realizzato utilizzando la tecnica dello stop motion. Questa video è stato realizzato a Milano nel novembre 2010, con il fotografo di San Francisco Kevin Kramer. Con lui ho già scattato servizi fotografici interessanti, ma questa volta gli ho presentato una serie di progetti più artistici, il primo dei quali questa ‘trasformazione’ del modello Mirko di Alessandro.

La tecnica consiste nello scattare una grande quantità di foto ,  da 600 a 900, che saranno poi visualizzate una dopo l’altra,  e come nei cartoni animati l’effetto finale sarà quello dell’animazione quasi reale dell’immagine, di partenza fissa.

In questa maniera si puo’ vedere l’evolvere del disegno senza la mia mano presente nell’immagine, dando emozioni più forti perchè cosi’ è possibile apprezzare al meglio l’evoluzione della trasformazione, momento per momento.

”La parte interessante”

Lacrime nere.. a significare turbamento interiore profondo, lasciato sfogare. Cosa insolita per un uomo, che in questo colore mostra tutta la sua rabbia e disperazione, ma con una espressione sempre fissa , quasi a nascondere ciò che è impossibile nascondere.

Si pulisce tutte queste lacrime con due semplici passate di mano. Ovviamente qui sono intervenuta io, che prima di ogni scatto sono andata a pulire con lo struccante una zona di volto e a ritruccarla subito con del fondotinta.  Qui si vuole esprimere la volontà di uscire velocemente da questa situazione di inquietudine, almeno per quanto riguarda l’apparenza. Perchè il mondo non ci vuole vedere cosi’, ci vuole sempre forti …

La scelta finale sembra essere una comunicazione non verbale, un tatuaggio che parte dall’occhio sinistro, cosi’ importante che è impossibile che non venga notato.  La sensazione di forza è grande e la voglia di continuare questo processo di pittura indelebile sulla propria pelle continua… fino a prendere il sopravvento e a impadronirsi di tutta la superficie possibile.

Ora ci sentiamo forti e invicibili, perchè cosi’ siamo diventati agli occhi di chi ci guarda…

ma è solo un gioco… e il gioco finisce presto!  le lacrime nere sono sempre dentro di noi.. ….GAME OVER!

”Quello che non avete visto…”

Inizialmente il video era molto più lungo, avevo previsto infatti una sequenza iniziale dove Mirko Di Alessandro partiva naturale con la barba incolta che piano a piano scompariva. Questa parte ho pensato di toglierla perchè essendo il modello biondo e l’immagine del video piccola.. non si poteva apprezzare la trasformazione e quindi la prima parte del video risultava noiosa. Nonostante le ore di lavoro spese ho deciso quindi, insieme a Kevin Kramer, di eliminare questa parte. Subito dopo Mirko assumeva un look più dandy, indossando degli occhiali neri e cambiando l’acconciatura in un capello liscio laterale, con molto gel. Anche questa parte non ci è piaciuta… quindi abbiamo eliminato, senza pensarci due volte!!

Ringrazio il fotografo Kevin Kramer per credere in tutte le mie follie creative nell’ambito del body painting e del make up artistico. Grazie a lui sto realizzando degli scatti veramente interessanti che sarebbe bello un giorno raccogliere in un’unica galleria o, perchè no?, in un libro.

Grazie anche al bravo modello Mirko Di Alessandro, che si è prestato con entusiasmo e professionalità in questo lavoro… che richiede molta molta pazienza.

With great pleasure I present my second video of body painting created using the technique of stop motion. This video was made in Milan in November 2010, with photographer Kevin Kramer from San Francisco. With him, I took  interesting pics, but this time I introduced a series of artistic projects, the first of which this ‘transformation’ of the model Mirko Di Alessandro.

The technique is to take a lot of pictures, from 600 to 900, which will then be displayed one after the other, as in cartoon animation; the final effect will be close to a real video.

In this way you can ‘see the evolution of the design without my hand in the image, giving the strongest emotions: you can better appreciate the evolution of the transformation, moment by moment.

“The interesting part”

Black tears .. means deep sadness. Though unusual for a man who in this color displays his anger and despair, but always with a fixed expression, as if to hide what is impossible to hide.

He wipes her tears with these two simple pass them. Obviously I have worked here, and before every shot was going to clean it with a makeup remover and putting foundation immediately. Here we want to express the desire to quickly exit from this situation of unrest, at least in appearance. Because the world don’t want to see us in sadness ‘…

The final choice seems to be a non-verbal communication, a tattoo that starts in his left eye, impossible not to be noticed. The feeling of strength is great and the desire to continue this process of permanent painting  on his skin … continues to take over and take over the entire surface as possible.

Now he feel strong and invincible… but it’s only a game , and the game ends soon!

“What we have not seen …”

Initially the video was much longer, I had planned a fact the opening sequence where Mirko Di Alessandro started with the natural hair on the face that disappeared floor to floor. This part I thought I’d take it off because it is the blond model and the image of small video .. you could not appreciate the transformation and thus the first part of the video was boring.Despite the hours of work lost …I decided ,  with Kevin Kramer agreement , to eliminate this part. Immediately after, Mirko took a dandy look, wearing black glasses and changing the hairstyle in a hair smooth side. This part we did not like … so we removed, without thinking twice!

I thank the photographer Kevin Kramer to believe in all my creative madness in the body painting and make-up art. Thanks to him I’m making the shots that really interesting would be nice to one day gather in  a book.

Thanks also to model good Mirko Di Alessandro, who has served with enthusiasm and professionalism in this job … that requires much patience.
