Vintage Selection 2011

An extraordinary creativity container. That's how is defined the seventeenth edition of Vinatge Selection, held in Florence from tomorrow, Wednesday 26 until Sunday, January 30, 2011. Creative also the manner of their presentation. On January 22 in fact an unexpected show surprised people stopped at traffic lights in Florence: when the traffic light was red suddenly entered the "stage" models , who marched with the clothes and accessories supplied by some exhibitors from Vintage Selection, transforming the pedestrian crossing in real catwalks. This exhibition-market over the years has assumed a dominant role in the European vintage scene  and exhibitors and visitors each year grow dramatically. To Vintage Selection are not only fans, collectors and ordinary people looking for something original, but also fashion designers and creative style of the great offices of international fashion companies that are found in Florence for Pitti Immagine Filati, Pitti salon that takes place on the same days at the Fortezza. Over 50 exhibitors, including A.N.G.E.L..O., Aloe & Wolf, Betty Page Boudoir Vintage Shabby Chic and many many more, but not limited to: an entire area will be dedicated to those who deal with customized vintage or companies who proposes clothes made with innovative treatments or transformed through tailoring, buyers and visitors can buy directly. In addition, relaxation and dining areas, period music thanks to Radio Italia 60's, exhibitions and workshops. ITA: Uno straordinario contenitore di creatività. Ecco come viene definita la diciasettesima edizione del Vinatge Selection, che si terrà a Firenze a partire da domani, mercoledì 26, fino a domenica 30 gennaio 2011. Creativo anche il modo per presentarla: il 22 gennaio infatti uno show inatteso ha sorpreso i cittadini fermi ai semafori di Firenze: allo scattare del rosso improvvisamente sono entrati “in scena” modelle e modelli, che hanno sfilato con gli abiti e gli accessori forniti da alcuni espositori di Vintage Selection, trasformando le strisce pedonali in vere e proprie passerelle.
Questa mostra-mercato negli anni ha assunto un ruolo assolutamente dominante nella scena vintage europea e ogni anni gli espositori e i visitatori crescono a dismisura.  A Vintage Selection non vengono solo appassionati, collezionisti e gente comune in cerca di qualcosa di originale, ma anche fashion designer e creativi degli uffici stile delle grandi aziende internazionali di moda che si ritrovano a Firenze per Pitti Immagine Filati, il salone di Pitti Immagine che si svolge negli stessi giorni alla Fortezza. Oltre 50 gli espositori, tra cui A.N.G.E.L.O., Aloe&Wolf, Betty Page Boudoir, Shabby Chic Vintage e molti molti altri, ma non solo: un'intera area verrà dedicata a chi si occupa di vintage customizzato, ovvero aziende che propongono capi sottoposti a trattamenti innovativi o trasformati attraverso interventi sartoriali, che buyer e visitatori potranno acquistare direttamente.
