Vogue's Comparison: France, Italy or UK ?

Apro questo post con delle enormi scuse per la mia assenza in questo periodo, ma tra impegni vari non sono più riuscita ne a scattare qualche foto per un outfit ne ad aprire un giveaway come vi avevo promesso, ma date tempo al tempo e arriverà tutto ! La seconda novità è che finalmente mi sono decisa ad aprire una pagina Facebook per il blog, dove vi aspetto tutti ovviamente, e tramite la quale cercherò di rendervi più partecipi con aggiornamenti costanti. Veniamo invece all'argomento di oggi. Voi sapete che io adoro viaggiare e se fosse per me, passerei la vita a fare su e giù per il mondo. Ogni volta che vado in una città straniera, oltre a portarmi dietro mille ricordi, è ormai una specie di "tradizione" che io acquisti una copia di Vogue, per rendermi conto di come viene intesa la moda in quel paese e sopratutto di quanta importanza viene data a questa enorme industria. Ho deciso perciò di confrontare l'edizione francese, italiana e inglese della bibbia della moda...


I wanna start this post with a huge apology for my absence in this period, but among various commitments I couldn't neither shoot outfit photos neither open a giveaway as I promised, but everything is on its way to come ! The second news it that I finally opened a Facebook page for my blog, where I'm waiting for all of you of course, and through which I'll work to make you more share with constant updates. Let's go at today's topic. You know that I love traveling and if I would be for me, I'd spend my whole life up and down the world. Everytime I come in a foreign town, aside from bring back many memories, it's like a "tradition" that I buy a copy of Vogue, to realize what fashion means in that country and above all to understand how important is this huge industry. So, I decided to compare the France, Italian and British edition of the fashion's bible...

Uno stile semplice, elegante, raffinato. Lo sfondo di una Francia barocca del XVII secolo. Servizi fotografici molto curati e ampio spazio alle rubriche Beauty e Bijoux, ma anche approfondimenti su libri, cucina, viaggi e cinema. Da non perdere assolutamente il servizio con le modelle di Victoria's Secret nel numero di Marzo 2011.

Tidy photo shootings and a big space dedicated to the Beauty and Bijoux sections, but also depth about books, cook, traveling and cinema. La rivista in se per se è molto curata, ma la maggior parte delle volte regna la stravaganza, il lusso e l'eccesso smisurato in ogni cosa. Basti vedere alcuni servizi di Steven Maisel dove vengono proposti o modelli completamente nudi o ragazzi travestiti da barboni con teste di lupo in mano. Ma lasciando da parte questo lato eccentrico, si possono trovare anche bellissimi servizi sopratutto negli allegati speciali. Il linguaggio con cui sono scritti gli articoli è spesso molto elevato, e non facilmente comprensibile, ma resta comunque una grande varietà di temi.


The magazine itself is really tidy, but most of the times extravagance, luxury and unbounded  excess reign on anything. It's enough to see some shooting from Steven Maisel where are proposed completely naked model or guys dressed like homeless with a wolf's head in the hand. But aside this eccentric side, you can even find amazing shoots especially in the special attachments. The scripting language of the articles is, most of the time, really high, and not so easy to understand, but there's anyway a large variety of themes.

L'edizione britannica di Vogue propone una moda più portabile, un pret-a-porter accessibile a tutti, mixando capi di brand costosi and altri più low-cost, quali Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, H&M, Aldo, Primark, River Island per esempio. Shooting favolosi a mio parere, perchè semplici ma con una nota che li distingue sempre dagli altri. In questa rivista si da ampio spazio alla moda, e poco al lifestyle. Ma si possono comunque trovare preziosi consigli nella sezione Beauty & Health per riprodeurre i make-up delle sfilate con prodotti accessibili a tutti. 


The British edition of Vogue proposes a more weareable fashion, a pret-a-porter accessible to all, mixing clothes from luxury brand with other from low-cost chains, like Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, H&M, Aldo, Primark, River Island for example. Amazing shootings in my opinion, because they're simple but with that note that set them apart from the others. In this magazing you can find a big space dedicated to fashion, less to lifestyle. But you can find precious tips anyway in the Beauty & Health section to copy the make-up from the fashion shows with all-affordable products.
