weekend destination

I spent my first holiday weekend in a very attractive Bay on the seafront of San Leone, a few minutes far from the wonderful Valley of the Temples and from the city centre of Agrigento (Sicily,southern Italy)
The "Valley of the Temples" is an archaeological site (ancient Greek Akragas). It is one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture, and is one of the main attractions of Sicily as well as a national monument of Italy. The area was included in the UNESCO Heritage Site list in 1997.
From my hotel, with its gardens and the beautiful swimming pool on the sea, I find out a delightful tourist harbour and then beaches, town houses and numerous places of amusement, scene of Agrigento’s society life.
...a truly relaxing weekend!
Ho trascorso il mio primo fine settimana di vacanza in una baia sul lungomare di San Leone, a pochi minuti dalla meravigliosa Valle dei Templi e dal centro della città di Agrigento in Sicilia.
La "Valle dei Templi" è un sito archeologico corrispondente all'antica città greca di Akragas.
E' uno degli esempi più importanti di arte e architettura della Magna Grecia, ed è una delle principali attrazioni della Sicilia oltre ad essere monumento nazionale d'Italia.Dal 1997 l'intera zona archeologica è stata inserita nella lista dei luoghi Patrimonio mondiale dell'umanità, redatta dall'UNESCO.
Dal mio albergo, con i suoi giardini e la bellissima piscina sul mare, ho trovato un delizioso porto turistico e poi spiagge, palazzi e numerosi luoghi di divertimento.
... un fine settimana davvero rilassante!
