Xbox one: anche xbox fitness cade.

Il triste epilogo di un prodotto spazzatura che sta usando i suoi clienti come tester non retribuiti.

Abbiamo già avuto la fortuna, o lo scomodo fardello, di recensire la nuova Consolle Microsoft in data 26/12/2013. Allora, nonostante un certo sconforto, si potevano rilevare lacune che comunque non andavano ad inficiare l’utilizzo quotidiano di un prodotto che, tra giochi castrati, carenza di games degni di nota, sistema operativo ballerino, malfunzionamenti generalizzati, offriva comunque una certezza: lo splendido connubio tra Xbox Fitness e il nuovo Kinect. 

Solo questa applicazione, per sportivi accaniti come (rigorosamente in ordine) la mia compagna ed il sottoscritto, ripagava il prezzo d’acquisto. Potersi allenare nel proprio salotto, guidato da personal trainer conosciuti a livello mondiale, usufruendo di una vasta scelta di esercizi non aveva prezzo. La precisione del nuovo Kinect, inoltre, garantiva una resa più che professionale. Ho testato personalmente gli esercizi “mossa” e, nonostante una discreta preparazione nel mondo delle arti marziali miste, non ho trovate lacune che mi permettessero di lamentarmi: la postura e la tecnica utilizzata nell’esecuzione delle mosse incrementava il punteggio finale.

E’ giusto ricordare che la Xbox One venne presentata come la nuova frontiera dell’intrattenimento domestico. Con essa si sarebbe potuto interagire a 360° con il mondo virtuale che nel 2014 avvolge come un guanto la nostra “esistenza casalinga”. Quando uscì, però, ci si rese subito conto che il concetto di “intrattenimento” veniva analizzato in modo del tutto riduttivo da Microsoft. Per i produttori offrire youtube, skype e explorer sarebbe bastato per permettere ai propri utenti di sostituire tutti gli apparecchi elettronici presenti nell’abitazione con il loro prodotto di ultima generazione.

Eppure “la patacca nera nella mia sala” non ha la possibilità di leggere blue Ray 3D, non ha un lettore multimediale nemmeno degno di competere con quello della 360, non ha un servizio DLNA indipendente che possa funzionare (come avveniva nella 360) senza l’ausilio di applicazioni esterne (Skifta), non permette di far girare i giochi della Xbox 360. Questo perché i signori Microsoft avevano un concetto di interattività molto chiaro: bisognava usufruire del loro shop online per avere un prodotto veramente completo.

Acquistando, a prezzi astronomici, film e musica dalla loro “bottega virtuale” si sarebbe potuto sopperire a quelle lacune volutamente inserite in un prodotto con l’unico intento di farlo apparire, agli occhi degli intenditori, come una barzelletta (nemmeno troppo comica).

Tuttavia, ed è triste da dire (soprattutto per un fans come me delle consolle Microsoft), è dura rendersi conto che non vi è limite al peggio, all’incuria, alla stupidità, all’errata valutazione che un colosso fa prima di lanciare un prodotto a livello mondiale (dando per scontato, evidentemente, che i propri consumatori siano dei perfetti babbei).

Con l’uscita a livello italiano di ChromeCast (sul quale stendo un velo pietoso per evitare di diventare volgare e maleducato) pensai: perché non acquistare questo aggeggio per poi inserirlo nella presa HDMI IN della mia Xbox One ? Così incrementerò i servizi dei quali posso usufruire con un unico “strumento” (avete ragione: una pessima idea).

Questo pensiero fu l’inizio della fine. ChromeCast si rivelò da subito il peggior acquisto degli ultimi 20 anni e, come se questo non bastasse, pose fine (per mancanze di Microsoft) anche all’unico beneficio che la mia Xbox One continuava da offrire: xbox fitness.

A causa di un probabile conflitto della presa HDMI IN, della porta USB o del WIFI l’applicazione Fitness smise di funzionare. In sostanza, per farla breve, vi fu un disallineamento tra i dati degli account salvati sulla consolle e quelli presenti nel Cloud di Xbox Live. Per tale ragione l’applicazione iniziò a riavviarsi, il kinect a spegnersi ed accendersi da solo, gli account (nei pochi giorni di regolare fornitura di servizio dell’ultimo mese) a perdere i dati salvati in oltre 5 mesi di sport incessante.

Tutto questo condito da ben 12 ore perse con il supporto online (persone gentilissime sia ben chiaro) con conseguente riduzione della qualità di vita (la mia compagna che si lamentava e si lamenta, io che mi incazzavo e mi incazzo). Un danno, calcolando la mia tariffa oraria, che eccede il valore della Xbox One.

Ovviamente noi di Egosistema forniamo documenti certi per testimoniare quello che affermiamo; proprio per tale ragione mi sono premurato di riportare una conversazione, avvenuta tramite chat, con un operatore americano e il link a discussioni, che denunciano questo problema, presenti sul forum ufficiale di supporto Microsoft.

Mi scuso per il mio inglese aberrante e spero, con questa mia denuncia che nessun altro sito online italiano ha ancora riportato, di offrire un servizio gradito.
