You are good enogh

Da quando il mio inglese è migliorato miracolosamente (avessi potuto al liceo vedere Dawson's Creek in lingua originale in contemporanee con gli usa...) sto finalmente leggendo i blog stranieri che prima sfogliavo soltanto e in queste mie letture in equilibrio sull'autobus ho scoperto due progetti che mi hanno affascinato.
Il primo è il progetto: You are good enogh, (tu sei brava abbastanza). L'ho scoperto grazie a una blogger australiana che leggo da anni The Clueless Girl's Guide. Il progetto è stato creato da Ebonnie e vi ricopio e traduco parte di ciò che l'ha spinta a creare questo progetto:

I started  You Are Good Enough after I started to suffer from depression, I would go online and all I could seem to find were pictures and blogs about never being perfect, never being beautiful, never being good enough and it drove me deeper and deeper down into that black hole, and then one day I woke up.
Ho iniziato Tu sei Brava Abbastanza dopo che ho iniziato a soffrire di depressione. Andavo on line e tutto che mi sembrava di trovare erano foto e blog sul non essere mai perfetti,  non essere mai belli, non essere bravi abbastanza e questo mi portava sempre più giù in quel buco nero, e un giorno mi sono svegliata.

I realized that none of that is true, and that for the sake of the girls and guys who run those sorts of blogs, and for the sake of the girls and guys who read them, there had to be something positive out there as well, so I created You Are Good Enough Tumblr, in order to help me out of my depression, and hopefully will help others as well. Ho realizzato che niente di tutto ciò è ero, e che per il bene delle ragazze e dei ragazzi che hanno questo tipo di blog, e per il bene dei ragazzi e delle ragazze che li leggono, doveva esserci qualcosa di positivo là fuori allo stesso tempo, così hai creato il mio "Tu sei Brava Abbastanza" Tumblr, per aiutarmi a uscire dalla depressione e spero aiutare anche altri allo stesso modo.

Questo progetto mi è piaciuto per la sua semplicità e immediatezza. In un attimo il messaggio giunge forte e chiaro attraverso una foto, ed è un messaggio diretto a chiunque la guardi, ma anche a chi sta facendo la foto. Come se noi stesse cercassimo finalmente di scacciare quella brutta voce che abbiamo dentro che svilisce tutto ciò che facciamo, e fossimo finalmente più forti di lei.
