Splendida serata quella passata al numero 24 di Via Fiori Chiari, nel cuore di Brera, il più bel quartiere di Milano, per festeggiare l'apertura del primo negozio italiano firmato Kusmi Tea, nella magica data del 12/12/12.L'aria di festa ci ha accompagnato in mezzo ai celebri colori del marchio di pregiati tè russi, poi parigini d'adozione. La creatività del marchio, infatti, gli ha garantito di farsi spazio nel mondo del tè anche grazie alle sue grafiche accattivanti e al suo stile pop-barocco che mescola arabeschi e damascati, fantasie indiane e i colori del Cremlino, con uno charme, che sta benissimo nei Marais, dove c'è il loro negozio di Parigi (e di cui ero già un'affezionata).
The evening I spent at number 24 in Via Fiori Chiari, in the heart of Brera, the most beautiful district in Milan, have been wonderful: I was there to celebrate the opening of the first Italian store signed Kusmi Tea, during the magical date of 12/12/12.
The atmosphere of celebration has been with us into the famous colors of this Russians fine tea brand, now Parisian by adoption. The creativity of the brand, in fact, guaranteed itself a special place in the world of tea thanks to its attractive graphics and effortless style that mixes pop-baroque with Indian arabesques and damask patterns with colors of the Kremlin, with a charm that is perfect in the Marais, where there is their Paris store (and in which I was an affectionate customer).

Durante la serata abbiamo potuto scoprire i "retroscena" delle preparazioni dei tè, dell'apertura del negozio e della storia del marchio. Il tutto avendo l'opportunità di annusare e assaggiare i loro tè (caldi e freddi), non senza voler stupire con un delizioso cocktail di tè, uno sciroppo e spuntante: un sapore dolce e delicato, "decomposed" come direbbe Davide Oldani che lascia ben distinti i tre sapori, armonizzando e non mescolando. Ad accompagnare gli aromi dei tè, dei biscotti decorati e dei biscottini salati e speziati deliziosi.
During the evening we were able to discover the "behind the scenes" of the preparations of tea, of the opening of the store and of the brand's history. Everyone has the opportunity to sniff and taste their tea (hot and cold), in addition they'd surprise us with a delicious cocktail with tea, syrup and spuntante: a sweet, delicate flavor, "broken" as would say Davide Oldani, which leaves three distinct flavors, harmonizing and blending. To accompany the aromas of tea, there was decorated and delicious savory and spicy cookies.

the name of the cocktail was piscines à Saint-Pétersbourg: the tea was infused in sugar syrup of one week, keeping it into the dark. So, you put a base of pure syrop in a balloon glass, than add the tea-syrup and so the spumante. Do not shake it, just add ice.
L'impresa di portare i colori di Kusmi a Milano la si deve a Francesca Natali, tea stylist affermata grazie al suo L'Arte del Ricevere e della sua competenza e professionalità. Basta guardare i suoi video e leggere i post sulla sezione blog del suo sito per capire molto del suo stile e per imparare quello che serve sui tè e sull'arte di servirlo. (Un lavoro da favola, se serve una mano ho pronto il CV).
The feat to bring the colors of Kusmi in Milan is due to Francesca Natali, tea stylist established thanks to his The Art of Receiving and his competence and professionalism. Francesca Natali is showing LOVE to a customer
Come sapete sono un'appassionata di tè e credo di aver l'esperienza (personale e non professionale ovviamente) per ritenere di capirci qualcosa. Annusando i tè esposti ho quindi potuto trarne una classifica personale in grado di permettermi di sapere come muovermi nei miei prossimi acquisti (qualcuno m'è scappato già quella sera). E direi che tra i neri i mei preferiti possono essere:- il PRINCE VLADIMIR, tè cinese con agrumi, vaniglia e spezie, con una storia particolare: fu creato nel 1888 per celebrare il 900esimo anniversario della Cristianizzazione della Russia da parte di Vladimir il Grande.
As you know, I'm a tea lover and I think I have the experience (personal and not professional, of course) to believe to figure it out. Smelling the tea set I could draw a personal rating that could be useful to help me in my next purchases (I bought something already that night). And I would say that some of my favorite among black teas may be:
- PRINCE VLADIMIR, Chinese tea with citrus, vanilla and spice, with a particular history: it was created in 1888 to celebrate the 900th anniversary of Christianization of Russia by Vladimir the Great.

- il SAINT PETERSBURG, tè nero sempre cinese con agrumi, ma questa volta con aromi di frutti estivi e caramello. Creato nel 1867 per celebrare il tricentenario della fondazione di San Pietroburgo, città natale del marchio Kusmi.
- SAINT PETERSBURG, again Chinese black tea with citrus, but this time with aromas of summer fruits and caramel. Created in 1867 to celebrate the tercentenary of the founding of St. Petersburg, the birthplace of the brand Kusmi.

- il KASHMIR TCHAI TEA, di cui vi avevo già parlato, visto che era già presente nella mia rosa dei preferiti. Si tratta di un tè nero forte, molto speziato, che si rifà alla ricetta Nepalese. Il Tchai Tea come sapete, in India viene servito non infuso nell'acqua ma direttamente nel latte caldo molto zuccherato. Forse per la qualità di questo tè è una barbarie, ma per il vostro palato, vi assicuro, è uno splendore. (Buonissimo, comunque, anche infuso normalmente in acqua).
- Tchaï KASHMIR TEA, about which we had already spoken, it was already present in my top-teas list. It is a strong black tea, very spicy, which refers to the Nepalese recipe. The Tchai Tea as you know, in India is steeped not in water but directly in the hot very sweet milk. Perhaps for the quality of this tea, this preparation is barbaric, but for your palate, I assure you, it is splendid. (It's however amazing also infused in water as we usually do).

- infine, in tema di feste, ho trovato buonissimo anche il CHRISTMAS TEA, anche detto THE' DES ROIS MAGES tè nero cinese con note d'arancia, vaniglia, spezie e mandorle.
- Finally, about holidays time, I found very good the CHRISTMAS TEA too, also known as THE' DES ROIS MAGES: Chinese black tea with notes of orange, vanilla, spices and almonds.

Ciò detto, se mi piace anche bere, magari con qualche biscotto, tè aromatizzati, il mio cuore è con i tè nudi e puri. Non ho annusato Darjeeling quella sera, ma ne fanno molti. Mi sono ritrovata nella sezione per "conoscitori del tè" nel loro sito (modestie a parte), per l'amore per i tè giapponesi e per le PERLE DE JADE AU JASMIN, dal prezzo proibitivo, ma che ebbi la fortuna di provare (e non scordarle più).
After that, if I like to drink, perhaps with some cookies, flavored teas, my heart is with the naked and pure teas. I have not smelled Darjeeling that evening, but Kusmi have some. I found myself in the section for "tea connoisseurs" on their website (modesty aside), for the love of Japanese tea and for PERLE DE JADE AU JASMIN, they has a prohibitive price, but I had the chance to try it (and I cannot forget them anymore).

Tornando però alla sera inaugurale, ho selezionato anche qualche tè verde. A parte le versioni verdi dei tè aromatizzati (CHRISTMAS e SAINT PETERSBURG), ce ne sono molti altri. Abbiamo assaggiato un bicchierino di LABEL IMPERIAL, stranissimo devo dire, non facile: la base è tè verde Sencha dalla Cina (che amo anche puro e crudo) combinato con arancia, cannella, liquirizia e bacche di olivello spinoso marino (non chiedetemi cosa sia). Fatto sta che non ho capito se mi è piaciuto molto o meno.
Returning, however, to the inaugural evening, I also selected some green tea. Apart from the green versions of flavored tea (CHRISTMAS and SAINT PETERSBURG), there are many others. We tasted a cup of LABEL IMPERIAL, I have to say it's strange, not easy: the base is Sencha green tea from China (which I also love in pure version) combined with orange, cinnamon, licorice and sea buckthorn berries (do not ask me what it is). The fact is that I did not understand if I really liked it or not.

Sicuramente un sapore molto interessante, da riprovare. Di quelli che ho annusato ho trovato che rispettasse le promesse il ROSE GREEN TEA, nel senso che l'aroma di rosa è molto spiccato, ma naturale e delicato - non così lo STRAWBERRY GREEN TEA che ha un po' l'odore di caramella gommosa alla fragola (insomma, troppa fragola).
Definitely a very interesting flavor, to repeat. Of those that I smelled I found that fulfilled the promises ROSE GREEN TEA in the sense that the aroma of rose is very pronounced, but it's natural and delicate - not so the STRAWBERRY GREEN TEA that has a little the smell of strawberry marshmallow (well, too much strawberry).

Confesso una pecca (mia): non mi sono soffermata sulla linea dedicata al wellness. Un po' per snobismo: considero il tè un piacere e un lusso che ha come 'effetto' quello di fare bene, ma non come scopo. Se qualcuno mi si dicesse esperto di tè per via delle sue proprietà drenanti, per esempio, non mi fiderei molto. Non saprei, mi danno l'impressione di mettere il gusto in secondo piano rispetto all'effetto terapeutico. Ma ripeto, il mio è stato uno sciocco snobismo: online e in giro ho letto molto bene di questa linea.
I confess a sin (of mine), but I have not dwelt on the line dedicated to wellness. It's been a little snobbery: I consider tea a pleasure and a luxury that has the effect to be healthy, but that's not its goal. If someone told me he's expert about tea because of its draining properties, for example, I would not trust a lot. I don't know, it gives me the impression of putting the taste overshadowed the therapeutic effect. But then again, mine was a silly snobbery: online and around I read very well about this tea collection.

Così pentita della mia mancanza, ho scoperto di potermi redimete il 18 dicembre, per l'inaugurazione aperta al pubblico, durante la quale si potrà ricevere le dieci tea bags di questa linea che ha fatto impazzire anche Lady Gaga!
So regretted for my lack, I discovered that I could redimete on 18th December, for the opening open to the public, during which you will receive ten tea bags of this line that drove even Lady Gaga crazy!
Insomma, ci sono andata e ci torno. E' un ottimo segno per essere all'inizio non credete?
